    Yeah, I’ve been doing that since forever.

    But you can’t always count on being able to do that stuff. Sometimes you get an odd team with two Fixers and two Speeders, where you need to be able to hold a line, and do good damage.

    Speeders are not like pawns, that can afford to be a bit rubbish, because you get lots of them. They cost your team the same as a Shooter or a Fixer, so they need to be able to pull their weight in combat.

    I hear a lot of people who have gone down in Infamy since the new update, but i wonder who the people are who go up? I have not heard many here and why they are adjusting faster than others.

    I'll tell you. Jumped 300 infamy since the update. The secret is understanding player psychology.

    Tell me, if you get increased agility on your ship, what do you pay less attention to?

    You pay less attention to where you're looking. This opens you up to sneak and ambush type attacks. Now, you may ask, what is the difference between what we used to do as speeders pre-update and what we do post-update?

    The first thing that has changed is the engagement distance. From really close, it has gone to mid range for almost all encounters. What are we weak at? Brawling up close. What are we strong at? Movement that makes ships miss. What are they strong at? Brawling up close. What are they weak at? Hitting fast, agile targets.
    The natural conclusion is that midrange is the way to go, where opponents cannot press their advantage, however, you CAN.

    The second thing is the assassinates. Your opponent needs to be overloaded with information when you pounce. This again has to do with where they are weak. Speeders dance in the noise of the battlefield, making its chaotic rhythm their own. So do enforcers, except they are always in full control, while speeders rely a lot on what the enemy is thinking. So... Noisy situations. Enter in the middle of a firefight. Don't be noticed until 2.3 seconds after you know the enemy is about to fire. Then walk in guns blazing, take out the mark, then run. You'll barely have taken a single shot's worth of damage.

    Damn. I'm falling in love with the speeder all over again, aren't I? :D

    I don't usually pay attention to what infamy I'm at when messing around with different setups ... but I think I went up 600 last night (to around 4.8k)

    So, I'm liking this update (less so with each hit fix, but it's still better than pre-update).

    Current state of speeder: The good ones are still good, and wreck teams. The bad ones still run in and die in 10 seconds. End of story. Lmaooo

    Speeder Main Evolution:

    1. I tried switching to Enforcer main after the 2nd Agility Hotfix (Enforcer is very smooth to play now)
    2. After 3 days, I was bored to death, ready to quit the game(infamy was holding between 3300 and 3600).
    3. I switched back to speeder yesterday, because that is still my true love and the only ship I can play without getting bored after a few days and jumped back over 3600)
    4. I switched to a medium range setup(like the @TheAntiSnipe suggested using a T5 Rare Explosive Cannon and T1 Legendary Ballpark mortar along with mostly rare yellow/blues)
    5. Holding my own pretty good. Staying at medium range. Traversing the map at medium range and dodging shots. If I notice an enemy unfriend is extremely low HP, I will break off and go for the close range kill and typically sacrifice a lot of HP doing it.
    6. If I get too close to 2 or 3 enemy shooters/defenders, I am essentially dead in 15 seconds after their turrets lock on me. There is no getting away anymore with the improved shooter/defender turret speed. No more close range brawling for me.
    7. I might tweak my weapon setups/yellow items, but I think medium range setups are the key now to keeping Speeder viable
    If you are rocking all Tier5 Epics or Tier 2 Legendary, then you can probably afford to play differently.
