My Noob to Noob series is just as it says.... one Noob talking about the things he's learned hoping to help other Noobs. A large part of my reason for this is that many of the things I read here on the board turned out be relevant to the 3000k+ crowd and completely different in the <1000 infamy area. So read on and learn the quite probably incorrect lessons I've learned.
    --------------------------

It took me a while after switching to speeder to realize that maybe Blacktail can just go slaughter the enemy team with impunity but I can't. This is when I started saying, "Speeders make poor slugger but a great knife in the back." What I mean by that is just sailing into a 1v1 is not, in general, a good practice for a speeder. You'll find yourself much more effective if you instead of going toe-to-toe with someone you add yourself into an existing battle. The enemy is already engaged and focused on one of your team mates. Now is the perfect time to swoop in from behind and give him a little nudge. For this purpose I use turbo, overboost, and nitro because I need to be able to get anywhere on the map quickly. I use bandages because I didn't have a good small shield but the bandages suit this mode well since while you're travelling to your next fight the bandages will heal you.

Note that in this match everything went perfectly. Frequently you will find that you can't loiter around beyond the first round. You're just too soft and tempting of a target. So the pattern becomes enter into one battle, empty your two gun tubes, then get away and find a different battle.

This is so complex for 1k infamy range. In my mind I think players at that infamy are just doing what ever the heck they want and pray for a win lol. Literally the aim can be so bad you can pull off the most ridiculous plays.

Snapple I like this noob to noob thing...well done! There's definitely not enough content directed toward lower infamies. I think you're helping many more people than the replies indicate. Keep it up!

Thanks. I'd like to see the series stickied but I think it needs to get more response before that happens. I agree with you that the lower-level content on these boards is pretty sparse.
