What? Huh? I hear nothin but laurel...

 

Explanation: The two words exist simultaneously. Laurel occupies a lower frequency (lower pitch), while Yanny is higher frequency (higher pitch).
People hear frequencies slightly differently, so some hear the higher or lower (Laurel or Yanny).
Some people can hear both.
It's because of frequency, everyone is right. Also, the effect is cool and all, but everyone's making too big of a deal out of it

 

At first I heard Yanny, now Laurel

 

Yanny through and through. How do you guys hear Laurel? I replayed it again and again but Yanny is all I hear... meanwhile my brother hears both. At the same time.
