Why hate speeder??

Speeder is getting continuously hated on by the devs...

• Lots of nerfs.
• The 'shit teammate' ability granted to every ship EXCEPT speeder
• Recent event, which makes speeders completely useless because they can't use speed buffs when carrying flag.

Speeders need some love too

 

Speeder was broken before the nerf, but now it’s worse than other ships.
Idk what you mean about bad teammate ability, but speeders can be bad teammates too (unintentional suiciding, dying while scouting, soloing 1vs multiple enemies, etc.)
Also, I’ve found speeder is most useful ship for this event (at least for me). I run a stub and TS on my mk5 speeder and don’t use any speed items.

 

I'd say the best ship ( for defense) in this event is shooter due to its massive array of weapons.

Best ship (for offense) is definitely enforcer, since they don't rely on speed and won't be absolutely destroyed because they ain't speedy. They just need tesla shields or bolts, and all set. Don't forget weapons and turbo

 

Speeder is still faster than enfo, and you can still put stun and shield on speeder (like I do )

 

Speeder is faster than Enfo, can carry Double tesla shield (without third yellow item) or any yellow item setup appropiate for this event. Can have more HP than enforcer due to 3 blue slots.

You can't say Enfo is better for CTF, Speeders are still great.

 

By your logic, stick a Tesla Shield and Bolt on a Speeder and you have the OP ship for the event. Speeders are the fastest at crossing the map and thus carrying the flag. I've so far had more luck with Speeder than Shooter. I am also using Frost on a Speeder which either keeps a boat in place for a Torpedo, or slows down the flag carrier.

 

I have to agree with frost launcher being good, I would guess it’s better on enforcer than speeder

 

Speeder is good for this event because it helps you get coins, since you can get the flag much easier. Try using slower ships like defender. The speeders keep going the flag before I can even get to it so if cant get the flag, and getting the flag is the highest contribution. So even on wins, I get like 6 coins. Meanwhile speeders are always on top of the reward board.

After a few rounds I’ve already given up on defending, I just go to the flag each time now.

 

So basically it doesn't matter if you win or lose, flag guy always gets a fuckload of coins even if they don't do shit aside from get flag?

That’s what happens in my games lol.
I get 1 capture and 10k damage, 9-10 coins.
Defender and shooter do 20k and 30k damage and get 4-6 coins.

 

Yea u can do 0 damage and just sit and the corner with the flag and you’ll have the most coins guaranteed, just use speed items to make sure you get it first hehe. U will just get a lot of draws when MM gives the unfriends stronger players

 

Draws and losses still give the same amount of coins for holding flag forever right?

 

I captured 10+ maybe more with enforcer ob+nitro and tesla shield. 1.42 speed

 

On losses I can still get 6 coins from 1 capture (only 1-3 for rest of my team)

 

Lol, on wins I get 6 coins. Even when I dealt my highest damage (44,332 damage) and won. Reward system and matchmaking is messed up for this event.

Edit: I meant won not lost. So I changed it.

I tink @*JAWS* had a defender strat for getting a lot of coins or something.

 

I have 0 yellow items and I scrap all yellow and green item pieces lol. And all my training is bad so I would need to retrain everything. Not worth it while there's less than 10 hrs left and I gotta sleep soon.
