Why does autopilot only work for straight forward or straight back?

If I want to navigate in a broad slow turning circle on autopilot, why don't I have that choice?

Probably because it hasn't been suggested before, but I quite like this. Up the food chain it goes.

What's "organized" to you might be a complete hash for someone else, so it's hard to just blanket implement certain things. I think the ability to drag-and-drop them now leads to a pretty organized inventory, mine only really gets out of order if I combine a number of different pieces at once without sorting them again.

Also, remember how the song goes when programming:

99 little bugs in the code
    99 little bugs
    You take one down
    And patch it around
127 little bugs in the code

For people with a non-programming mind: ( I don't got one either, just trying to make decent sense of this. Gimme a break.)

Basically, fixing one small issue could lead to more small issues. Right?

Correct. Programming is harder than it seems at first, and reducing it to "well just do this" is like saying:

"Why are electricians so expensive? I changed a light bulb."
"Drumming isn't hard, you're just banging sticks on rocks."
"Being a doctor is simple, you just listen to their breathing and prescribe antibiotics."

It's a gross oversimplification that doesn't do justice to the difficulty of the job.

But something that is magical and easy is deleting a bunch of confrontational and argumentative posts from an otherwise good thread. Let's get it back on topic and keep it polite.

With the original post - are you looking to be able to lock in an arbitrary turning angle/radius, or start with a simpler "lock stick to top left/top right" that would get you turning at max rotation?

(But I like arguing on the internet)
I mean I'd settle for either, but my original thinking was just lock it in at any point on the circle you let go at, except maybe full left or right where you're just rotating.
