Why are stars for fixers so weird

How did i get 1 star while the other fixer got 3? I did almost the exact same healing and we both did 0 damage. How the hell does the game determine that my game is worth 1 star while his is worth 3?

Is this a sign that i should stop playing fixer?

Fixer stars are usually based on who you’ve healed, not how much you’ve healed. So while you both did roughly the same amount of healing. It’s possible the other fixer was healing the boat that was doing the most damage, while you were healing the boat doing the least.

This is just based on my experience. I’d have to watch the replay to see for sure.

Is it fair? Not really. But that’s the reality of the game. You have to be healing your teammates that are doing the most contribution to the match. Not keeping the stragglers alive.

Don’t let it get to you. You’ll have your share of matches that go the other way too, where you out shine another fixer for no real apparent reason. Or you’ll have a round where you feel like you underperformed, only to end up with 2-3 stars. It’s a fickle life, that of a fixer. But stick with it, you did well in that match.
