It would help if you actually posted a screenshot of that item. But there are several items that are no longer obtainable since item fusing was removed from the game. I assume the item you saw was either Nuts and Bolts (blue item) or Training Cannon (red item). They were used to level up items in the past but no longer serve any purpose.

It’s nuts and bolts, a pre-global launch item that gave a big fusing bonus back when items were upgraded by fusing

It was removed when parts and power cells were introduced.

LOL it looks like he brought some parts to the battlefield! Since there's no longer fusing, is it the blue item equivalent of a horn/jingle bells?

No, those are special gifts. The nuts & bolts were used to upgrade items. Those were from the Beta days.

I wonder how he got those... He's really low level, but if he's still active then he's been playing for a year.

I heard it was much easier to upgrade with the fusing system when compared to the parts&powercells. I think it was like the one in C.A.T.S..

I first heard about BB from an ad while playing C.A.T.S.! BB caused me to uninstall it and every other game, tho, due to being my favorite mobile game ever. Man, it must suck to lose a player to an ad about another game lol.

Wow! Same story here. I started playing C.A.T.S, and the Battle Bay ad(it was in like May or April 2016) really got me, so I started playing both. C.A.T.S then got popular at my school, so I quit, because I don't like playing games everyone talks about.

I totally agree, mostly because most of the time their gameplay was subpar and it made me look like a "tryhard" lol but we're slowly going off topic here!

Basically back in the fusing times, each item had its own xp bar. Each item gave a certain amount of xp (commons like 30, epics something like 1000) when they were fused and the item gained a level. Fusing cost sugar (common 500, rare 50 000 and epic a lot more) and same items gave a small combo bonus.
    What it was in reality
    1. You bought every common and uncommon item from the shop (and rares if you had cash)
    2. Then you slowly grinded xp for each item.
It was really hard to keep anything you didn’t use then. I fused an epic mine just because i got like 10 levels to a rare and it didn’t do more dmg than my rare. And evolution was much harder, a maxed t3 required the same amount of dupes than now, but you needed 2x t2 items
    I don’t miss the fusing days:rolleyes:
