What is the criteria for getting stars?

In a battle
I scored 2064 damage(damage wise 4th )
0 kills
I am a shooter
And I got 3 stars

1 star for winning.
2 stars for average contribution.
3 stars for double contribution.

 

My gues would be your fire bombs. By getting your enemies on fire, the weapons of your teammates will deal bonus damage.

 

How is that possible??

 

Having a Fire Bomb is nearly automatic for getting 3 stars

 

But that guy who got 0 stars and the one with 0damage gets 1 star

 

the 0 star boat probably infamy dropped on purpose (how else is an mk4 at 300 inf) so triggered the countermeasures and gets no rewards, while the 0 damage boat gets 1 star just for being in a won battle

 

Perfect thread. This happened to me last night. I wasn't a huge factor in this one as it was a Titan battle, and the fastest and strongest ships basically got the kills. However, I did contribute a little and gotten a few good hits on PewPewDie.

Wonder what "Secret sauce" Kayat ta Bay drank to get 2 stars?
0 damage, 0 kills and didn't even die. He was basically chasing and running behind us.

 

why i'm not get 3 stars and finish under my teammate with 2 stars?

your teammate has fire bombs which gives fire bonus to all of your teammates who has fire bonus perks/talents for cannons. Everytime someone gets bonus dmg because of him, he gets contribution points. With those points earned, his contribution on match is bigger than yours --> he gets 3 stars and it appears your total contribution isn't great enough to get 3rd star.

Things that are counted as contributin: Fixing, freezing, stunning, dmg dealing, fire bonus (napalm too) and if won by capture, time spent on capturing area from arriving until the time capture gets completed (you can't left the area or you don't get points for time before coming back).

 

I just love that how I got 3 stars with that low damage. It sure was fun, lol. I did a lot of freezing and stunning there so my team had chance to kill them more easier which they did. Especially WrongUserName got killed by team work which included slowing him down to crawl.

i hope this doesn't become a trend. even though he got the most stars, his dmg wasn't very impressive and got rekt by close range speeder in the end. the whole "secret sauce" is bs and needs tweeks, if all you have to do is spam fire bomb or freeze...

U can get 3 star by hitting 5 target and do most of the supporting role. happens with me. So I try to hit everyone.
