What is better? x2 or x5

I was thinking about guild wars and about how to maximize efficiency when buying point boost.

So I was wondering what would be better, weather if all the players in the guild by x5 for 100 pearls for themselves, or if it’s better to buy x2 for 125pearls for all the guild.

I think I’ve done the math right but idk why it doesn’t quite convince me, so what is it better?

 

Buying for guild is way better.

Assume guild is full 25 people. Player spends 125 pearls on x2 (3 boosts each player) means 25*3*2 = 150 games worth of rewards for 125 pearls.

Player buys x5 for himself only. 100 pearls for one player for 3 x5 boosts = 3x5x1 = 15 games worth of rewards for 100 pearls.

Lets look at value of x2 vs x5 boosts for entire guild.

If you spend 125 pearls for (4x) x2 boosts, you are going to wind up with 4x2x3 worth of boost, or 12 games of x2 boost. In 12 games you will have 24 games worth of rewards.

If you spend 500 pearls on one x5 boost, you are going to wind up with 3 games worth of x5 boost. In 3 games you will have 15 games worth of rewards. But interestingly, in 12 games you will have 24 games worth of rewards. (3 5x boosted games + 9 non boosted games)

The value of the 2x pearl pack and the 5x pearl pack for the entire guild are equivalent.

 

(Personal x2) = 25pearls for speeding farming up by 3 games (8,33 pearls pr bonus game).
(Personal x5) = 100pearls for speeding farming up by 12 games (8,33 pearls pr bonus game).
(Guild x2) = 125pearls for speeding farming up by 3*25=75 games (1.66 pearls pr bonus game) + 250 raffle tokens (0.5 pearls pr token).
(Guild x5) = 500pearls for speeding farming up by 12*25= 300 games (1.66 pearls pr bonus game) + 1000 raffle tokens (0.5 pearls pr token).

Conclusions;
- There’s no difference in value between x2 & x5. In a guild with some less active members it would probably be better to focus on x5’s so those players can make their few games matter more instead of having a growing stack of x2’s.

- Buying guildboosts is much better value than buying personal boosts. Aside from also providing raffle tokens, you only need 5 players in your guild to break even on boosts, the last 20 players is just an added bonus. Buying personal boosts is almost always the wrong decision.
