What exactly is DPS?

    Hi guys, DPS is damage per second, but I have a little question. In my firebomb, DPS is 49 and damage is 43. So what's the difference between them?[​IMG]

    With a direct hit you will do 43 dmg, over 16 seconds, and with a cool down of 14 secs.

    So dps for your wep is:
    (43x16)/14 = 49.x

    Of course the dps is only a guide cos AOE weps and crit hit weps do different damage from the stated. It's really just a good guide to a weps effectiveness.
