Was I punished for doing better?

    It's only one star, but can anyone explain why I got one? This is after my fall from 1300 infamy!

    Fire bomb causes burns. Burns boost damage of cannons. Because of that, the user is awarded extra damage points totaling the amount of damage boosted because it was that ship that caused the bonus damage.
