Warrior 1 Rewards

Can anyone elaborate on this?
I am currently in Warrior 1 Division(5th place @ 1343 infamy)
The end of season rewards for 4th thru 10th place are:
-67,500 gold
-246 reputation points
-1 Uncommon Item
-8 Uncommon Power Cells
-300 Rare Parts
-1000 Uncommon Parts

The end of season rewards for 3rd place are:
-101,250 gold
-279 reputation points
-2 Uncommon Items
-8 Uncommon Power Cells
-300 Rare Parts

2nd Place gets a RARE item piece and a little more gold.

Something seems kind of messed up with this. The GOLD value of 1000 uncommon parts 228,500 gold(when it is available in the shop).
Why would anyone want to finish in 2nd or 3rd place?? The value of the 4th thru 10th place rewards are far more valuable because of the uncommon parts.
One extra uncommon item has virtually no value at this infamy any more. Everyone I play against is playing rares, epics and occasionally I see a legendary.
Are these rewards outdated now that the game has grown and uncommon items are getting phased out at earlier infamies?

 

I know, I kept myself out of first for that reason...

Yes, I'm not really complaining, it's just odd that they would make the 4th place rewards better than the 2nd or 3rd place. Luckily I only made it up to 3rd place and I stopped for the day and then luckily lost a couple in a row. So hopefully I can hold onto at least 10th place before Sunday.
