Unbalanced matchmaking

    This isnt even a balanced match. Both sides of the team are unequal in class. Not to forget they'll have the privilege of having more equipments and weapons ofcourse. There should be a development regarding balancing of matches in this regard as well. What do you guys think?

    I've won and lost games with mk5 (not floaters/suiciders) shooters on my team and the enemy team in a mk 3-4 infamy level... just get over it, its normal.

    I also think it's unfair that the game puts me against people i can lose against. It's so stupid that i'm not the center of the universe...

    If the game were 100% fair and everything equal, it would get boring REALLY fast. Part of the fun of it is finding a way for the underdog to conquer.

    it's not boring when at mk2 with 1500 hp you fight against people with 4K hp, t3 epic... that's totally stupid.
    like playing a lvl 10 toon in a mmorpg with/against lvl 60 people... yes! a good vision of pvp...

    The only thing to do is, increase the captain level. And evolve the ships. But seriously, there are so many noob players around. And with this issue, it becomes just like salt on wounds if u have noob team mates

    I like how mk1-2 ships being with 5-6 just gets swept under the rug like its not an issue.

    We can analyze the severity of the situation through frequency (how often it happens) and impact (how bad is it when it happens). Let's use statistics since the previous update (~2 months):

    Frequency:
    Fraction of Mk1 battles having Mk6 ship(s): 0.00199%
    Fraction of Mk1 battles having Mk5 ship(s): 0.12149%
    Fraction of Mk2 battles having Mk6 ship(s): 0.00363%
    Fraction of Mk2 battles having Mk5 ship(s): 0.48259%
    This means that literally in 2 battles in a million there is a Mk6 in the same battle with Mk1 ships.

    Impact:
    Let's then look more closely at the most frequent situation: a Mk5 ship in a Mk2 battle which happens a bit less than 1 out of every 200 battles. Does this mean an automatic loss for the Mk2 team? Not at all! Their winratio has been 36.62%, which means they win more than 1 out of every 3 battles.

    So, where does that leave us? We have an extremely rare event and when it actually happens it has a only a moderate impact on the winning chances leaving the battle totally winnable still.

    Does that help putting the situation in perspective that how bad the issue really is?

    And who wins once out of every 3 battles? Lately all I can do is lose it seems like.

    It's not impossible to win against unfair teams.

    If higher ships are down at your infamy, it's cause they are unskilled.
