Transmutation issues

    I had a level 21 epic gear lube and a level 50 epic rudder, both pimped out with epic perks.
    Here are the issues I've seen so far with transmutation:
    1. Perks in your inventory can be traded for gold (an epic perk is worth 550k gold approx.). Perks that are attached to the items cannot be. When you hit salvage, you see they are worth..0. No salvage value.
    2. You can only transmute into other blue items. The reason why I got gear lube and rudder to begin with is because I run with a defender, so I already have shields and more shields. The wo things that could really use upgrading are my turbo and my bandage, BUT you can't combine a transmuatated item and an existing item. I have a level 40 turbo. I have a level 30 gear lube. I can't transmutate the gear lube into the two turbos that I need to evolve my existing level 40 to tier 5, so my only choice is to run with two mid-grade turbos. That's seems kinda dumb.
