Tier VI items

I think it's time to introduce tier VI items, will make easier for non spenders to level up rares and something to aim for for whales. I think 3 items to evolve from V to VI would be fair!
Any thoughts?

 

I think that unless matchmaking starts taking your gear into account, which it won't, it's a terrible idea. I'm already under 3000 hp up against the best of nightmare league. I rarely survive two hits as it is.

 

If it would cost 3 items to upgrade to tier VI then I think the next rarity up (in this case epic) would be a better choice.
If the whole reason for tier VI is to compete against the whales then it wouldn't be worth it. I'm sure the whales would casually upgrade their legendaries to VI as well

However, as a general idea I think higher tiers of items is a good idea farther into the future. Even now the top players don't even have fully upgraded epic/legendary weapons and thus makes the high level games based more on skill than money (which I'm sure we would all want).

Later in the future this would be a great idea, but not yet IMO

 

Makes sense from your perspective, however to improve an epic or legendary item from V to VI you'd have to spend a ton of money. Rares on the other hand are somewhat easily obtainable. I doubt u would end up in the same league with tier VI legendary players anyways. Perhaps the developers should introduce tier VI only for uncommon and rare items first for players to catch up and after a month or a few move up to epic and then legendary down the line. How does that sound?

 

Probably not the same league, but definitely the same battles.. don't you think your gear is already crazy enough?
Rare duplicates are far easier to get than the T5 crew talents are man, I am quite certain that there isn't a f2p player who started after global launch with T5 anything yet. I had all of my rare duplicates months before the launch, almost 13000 matches in and I'm still weeks away.
I think most of us are looking for more fun on the bay, new game modes and hopefully the opportunity to use some of our other ships. Widening the gap between you madmen and us peasants can probably wait for now.

 

I voted no.
Mk7 is already unachievable for most (captain 48), so why add a load more of unachievable items for the top 0.000001%

Fix all the broken stuff first please rovio;matchmaking in ace, progression, too many paywalls etc, etc, etcetera..

 

Those whales will shoot your a$$ first with their legendary or epic tier VI items before you get your rare tier VI ones.
Their wallet is way faster than your grinding.
So, no.
