The Guardian is a good concept on paper but is underwhelming and ineffective

I may be wrong but I doubt we will see this ship become popular as is, fixer is a much better assist ship.
the items just are not very useful IMO.

Some buff items I feel may have been beneficial instead

Ripple wave: this would send out a pulse wave across the map deactivating mines and torps currently active in it's path, it would not go through walls, upgrading would increase its range

Crit buffer: this would buff all teammates in your vicinity making their crit weapons all crit when they are buffed, upgrading would increase it's effective time

Invulnerability buffer: this gives all ships in the vicinity a temporary shield and speed similar to spawn in TDM use to have, upgrading would increase it's effective time

I know the criticism is going to be "that's OP", but is it? Would you rather be stuck 2v2 with this ship or a very talented fixer which could keep you alive in comparison? As is the answer is 100% fixer.

The reality is, Rovio could have modified existing boats with flex slots but they want you to pay for that, for example Flexing all Fixer slots to be teal/green. Instead we get to grind for the better part of a year to level up a boat and 3 new item slots. I suppose that's one way to dangle the carrot for some more months before players get tired of waiting for their new ship to be useful.

The Guardian costs gold to upgrade like the original ships, they did good there.
