The easiest way to make this game fairer and deal with seal clubbers, why did we not think of this?

    Dear Devs and fellow Bayers,

    Today I had a epiphany! In sports there is no way to lose any points. For example in football (soccer), there are three option:

    1. Win
    2 Draw
    3 Lose

    So, what is new then? Nothing but the way you earn points is:

    1. Win - 3 points
    2. Draw - 1 point
    3. Lose - 0 points

    It is like that in all sports, you don't lose points for losing: you just don't get any, simple as that!

    So, in Battle Bay we should go to this system also! So, that deals with mk6 with 0 Infamy, if they just don't play well, then they stay at a certain level. But more important it deals with cheaters, who lower their Infamy on purpose, albeit it for fun (yes, some do just think it is funny to reach 0 Infamy) or to get easier battles and go through the quests faster.

    It would make the game fairer and more logical. Kill more birds with one stone, or should I say boats?

    No big changes have to be made in the game, everybody can stay at their own Infamy if this would be implemented.

    So, this is how I think it would make sense:
    1. Win - 24 points
    2. Draw - 8 points
    3. Lose - 0 points

    What do you think?

    This is a very bad system bro, as you can only gain infamy, in several weeks we will all be in nightmare.
    The leaderboard will be reforged so that those who play the most will be at the top of the leaderboards instead of the players with the highest win rates.

    The only way this system would work was if there was a preset number of games, like we all had 50 matches, and at the end we were all reset to 0 again, but this would completely destroy all the current leagues and leaderboards we have, and limiting the number of matches we can play would be a big no no from me.

    I don't accept this idea bro.Can we put this as
    1)Win:24 infamy gained
    2)Loss:20 infamy lost
    3)Draw:0 infamy

    How is this new system?

    First of all, if you lose you don't gain points, so not all will be in Nightmare. Most will never reach it!

    The current system is not working that well either, so something needs to change. So many people complain about it in the in-game forums. And they are right, something needs to change.

    Maybe we should go to a system which resets at the end of the season, would not be that bad, would it? So, every season you have to work your way up. But your previous score will be visible also.

    So, you still play in Nightmare, but every season you start over. And if you have a bad season, you will go down again to the previous league, while others go up.

    I think that will work, but maybe it is better with a loss to lose 12 Infamy then?

    Say I play 50 games per day, and win 50% of them which is about right.
    This means with your system, I will gain 600 infamy per day.
    So 4200 infamy per week.
    With current system I might reach NML in 12 months.
    With your system, I will be in NML next week with gear so underpowered I wouldnt be able to compete.
    How can you think this system is functional, its totally flawed.

    You need chance of negative infamy to hold people at their natural infamy levels.
    If the only way is up and cant come down, then everyone will be in NML and the matchmaking will be so skewed it wont even be funny.

    We just need different Seasons, so after a month it starts again and you have to work your way up. The best will go through to the next league, while others remain there or go back a league.

    Like the idea. The thing that I dislike the most in BB, that the game punishes you if you lose. It takes out the fun from the game and demotivates you to play it.

    The problem with this system is that it will just reward quantity of games over quality.

    For example, if I play 1000 games, but I’m terrible, so I lose 90% of them, then I would still gain+240 infamy for the 10% I won.

    However, if I only play 100 games, but I’m good, so and I win 90%, I will only get +216 infamy.

    So the better player ends up lower, even though they won 80% more of their games.

    As Flint wrote, it should be another system leagues, read his idea above.

    Or as example: Infamy difference between leagues should be increased (e.g. 5000-10000 infamy between them). Infamy reset should be implemented for each league, like it is for the nightmare league. So people should gain enough infamy to reach the next league within a season before reset. It will motivate to win matches to gain enough infamy, game will not punish you with regression in case of lose and players will play more to get those infamy, game will profit because of more active players (easier matchmaking, more ads watching etc.)
