I often hear people say ‘we lost because the team didn’t stick together’ or ‘I try to say “together” but no one listens’, so I thought I’d share my thoughts on team strategy.

Who Should Set The Team Strategy?
Ideally the team strategy should be set by the player with the highest infamy. Having the highest infamy has earned them the right to set the strategy, because it means that relatively they are currently the best player on your team (personally you may disagree, but if you want to win you need to put your ego aside). The important thing is that strategy is decided upon quickly. If you take too long, the other team will get into a better position quickly, and you’ll lose.

What Happens If The Highest Infamy Player Doesn’t Set A Strategy?
Then then next highest player should take it on himself/herself. And so on.

What Happens If I Don’t Agree With Their Strategy?
As I once remember Bittersteel saying in one of his videos, you still follow the strategy regardless. Even if you think it means imminent defeat.
More defeats are caused by teams not staying together than poor strategy.

What Should The Person Setting The Strategy Consider?
    • Whether there are any fixers on the teams.
      • If you have one and they don’t, play conservatively
      • If they have one and you don’t, play aggressively (don’t let battle settle into long range battle)
      • If they have two fixers and you don’t, play very aggressively.
    • What type of weapons teammates will have. For example, I f you have a team of enforcers, there no point trying to fight a long range battle, as your teammates are more likely to only have medium range weapons.
    What About Speeders?
Speeders to a degree, have more freedom from team strategy than others. They can scout or assassinate etc, but should still be mindful of where teammates will be heading, and where they would be best to go to harass enemy from where they will likely go in response.

Anyway, those are my thoughts. If you have any other ideas, please feel free to contribute them.

Yes. But sometimes when my teammates are idiot shooters they just keep firing, regardless of whether there is an enemy speeder behind us. I usually have to spam "Destroy (speeder)" until they see.

Anyway, my advice is have a good chain of useful advice.

    My favourite as a speeder:

    Follow me, negative.

I used to take command regardless of my infamy, because (not boasting) I'm known for calling the most accurate commands, and my name is, well, kinda well-known, and people tend to follow me. Of course, if there's an absolute legend on my team, I'll go ahead and shut up:p

However, I have a tip for people who have issues because they are not listened to: Guys, choose the slowest ship on your team, and say, "Follow (slowpoke)!" And start following the ship yourself. Most of the time, it's a crowd mentality to stick with the majority. When they see (or think they see) a tanky dude and someone relying on said tanky dude, they tend to follow. And you'll end up sticking together really well. This works wonders in the middle of a mortar spam, trust me. People listen.

I find this to be true. When i was the only enfo in the team and the rest are shooter or defender who play long range. Its hard to find an opening in the enemy bcause if i charge forward, i will likely be at focus fire from enemy and if i dont try to charge forward, its hard to get in rabge rabge to take a shot
