Team does more damage but still loses

    The other team had more health than your team. Or the guys with bandages played a little wiser than the guys on your team.

    More damage does not win as other factors like health, healing have to be taken into consideration

    It's actually not a bad question, considering stars are given based on damage output rather than all the other intangibles brought up here.

    There were two ships with epic bandages on the opposing team. There was also an MK5 defender with two T4 big shields and an epic small shield. So even though your team dealt out more damage, they simply had more HP/healing ability and outlasted you. That's actually not uncommon.
