When I first started playing battle bay and learned that you could stun shipwrecks I started thinking about what else we could stun. Eventually, I started trying to stun torpedoes (everyone likes shooting them in the beginning of the match and although I avoid them they hit my teammates sometimes...) After trying to stun torpedoes I quickly realized that its hard AND its impossible. So my question is "Why not?"

Before you wave off this idea and say its useless, being able to stun torpedoes can be strategic for Tesla users and the players shooting the torpedoes... Because Tesla bolt stays on the water surface you can use a torpedo to prevent yourself from being stunned. It can help a lot in the lower infamies since players sometimes don't pay attention to the waters around them and a way to "have your team's back". It takes skill to aim at a torpedo that isn't directly in frontt of you and even though its a small thing I think it can be quite useful...

    OP for who?
it benefits both torpedo and Tesla bolt users, it is very situational...

That's true. Keep this thread alive, I think it would make sense. Let's see what devs say.

It would be OP and UP. But I would like to see it implemented. Like you said, Why not?

I'm not sure if you ever tried it but its not easy hitting torps that aren't directly in front of you, it requires good leading skills and it goes both ways... since torpedoes and stun stay on the water surface you could aim a torpedo at a stun coming your way... you might think its not worth it but at high infamy speeders have stuns with 10+ seconds and a player being out for that much time can change the course of a battle while you would still be able to use your other items if a stun hit your torp...

The purpose of bolt is to stun a ship and not to cancel an incoming attack(torp).
Look, even if we had this in game , I think people will choose to stun enemy over a single torp!
As stunning a torp over enemy can prove to be lethal!
Or vice versa using torp to cancel stun!

To the first part we can stun ship wrecks so it isn't just for the enemy, depending on a situation stunning a torpedo can save lives, what if it is about to hit a wall, enemy, shipwreck next to you wouldn't it help to be able to stun the torp before it causes any damage?

I think I want to add the idea of stunning mines for a few seconds so you may pass over them without setting them off...

Would that be a better idea?

It would ofcourse but by the time u realise that thing(torp).... U would already be dead! Before even shooting the bolt!

    Too OP...
And though it won't have much use, I think it will be badass to do it. But stunning a torp point blank still gives splash damage. That'll keep it balanced.

Not necessarily. I could very easily stun a torp. All you need is fast reaction time.

That's only possible when u see it coming..... What if u r in middle of crucial battle with critical hp.... All u will want to focus is on dodging the attacks.... Right?
Now u see a torp coming.... Will u switch to bolt and cancel the torp or move forward and prepare to counterattack?
