Strange statistics after battle?

Greetings.
First I apologise if something similar has been explained before.
Can someone break down how the places and stars are given? Because after the win and with the most damage the Speeder ended up with only one star and second place.

Contribution (which determines your ranking on the battle results) is not completely by damage.
The person above you got more contribution because he set people on fire, then the people got hit with cannons, some of which dealt extra damage because the target was on fire. This damage was counted toward his contribution.

I see one fixer problem:
you might end third (and even last) in your team even when your healing was double the damage of your best damage dealer and I think this is imbalanced

 

Though the last update has improved star gains overall it is still quite difficult for a fixer early game to gain frequent amounts of stars unless you using flare / fire bomb, until MK6 at least I've found.

Fixer contribution also places reliance on healing your higher damage output friendlies which is a roulette.
