Strange bug

This happened to me now.

We won the first match. Then I pressed battle, and it showed our teams. It was strange because some names I remembered from the previous battle (more than a few). When the game started for me, the 4th minute was already happening, and 3 of our players were afk.



Strange isn't it?

 

I have heard about that bug but never spotted it myself. The devs have told in the ig chat that the bug is so rare that it's hard to spot but they try to find and fix it.

It's a know bug, some sort of race condition I assume. It's quite rare, only happened to me once.

When you click battle you're put into a copy of the previous match, instead of the real match you were supposed to play.
You're a floater in your real match, while the people who were in your previous match but didn't press battle turn into floaters your fake copy match.

The devs havn't been able to track it down afaik (race conditions can be incredibly hard to figure out).
