    in the last 3 min of game time, a storm will slowly close in.

    As the storm closes in, people who are inside will be damaged.

    Plus, it forces people to close in and brawl making the game go faster.

    The storm damage is -2% hp / s for 2 min left. -4% hp / s for 1 min left. -6% hp / s for 0 min left.
    The first storm ENDS ar 2;00 in shrinks into 80% of size (not that much)
    By 1;00 the arena shrinks into 50% (forces people to fight)
    When the last min ends, the arena would be fully stormed. (prevents draws)

    But, here’s the bad parts.
    Rambo fixers will not use shields and be at like 3500 hp and use duck tapes with bandages.
    So, the fixer won’t die cause she will take less damage than the storm.

    Here’s to balance it out: negative effects.
    While inside the storm, vision is harder to see.
    You take continuous damage,
    ANY healing will be gone
    (?) weakness, you deal 15% less damage

    nope, more like too op, and starting at 3 mins, it's like wtf most battles at lower infamy levels are still at their start or there are usually at least 3 ships on both sides alive so it doesn't make sense to do that
    and at high infamy it wouldn't help too as the battles are quicker or they last full five minutes and end by draw with at least two people at both side (at least from what I saw from NM battles)

    it won't but the damage is still too high
    imagine one fat a$$ defender with huge hp who gets caught by this, he has no chance to escape and at the start he recieves huge damage from it as it's % based
    and the part with healing transformates into damage would make bandage the least used item in the game as you can't turn it off so it would kill you even faster

    Is this a nerf defender or something? A defender is a ship that sacrifices speed and agility for hp. If a defender gets caught in the storm, they're too slow to escape and their hp won't help, even though it's their main strength. And players will be penalized for having a good bandage as it will damage then every five seconds instead of healing them.
    Battles already end fast enough. No need to make a storm close in to speed it up.
    Also, this is just copying Fortnite and is unoriginal.

    fine. make the bandage heal u.
    soaking up damage for defender is life.
    its not like the storm closes instantly.
    it only closes 20% by the end of 3 min (END)

    From my first days up to now, it can take anywhere between 10 seconds to 2 minutes for both teams to finally make contact. The longest part of the battle is usually the encounter, as no sane player wants to be caught in 5 unfriends' crosshairs. So the 3 minute timer is going to be a struggle.

    However, this idea could elliminate draws by slowly starting after the 5 minute timer is completely finished. First off, 3%~9% hp/s is more than you think. That's about 30 seconds until death at the first stage IF you're at max hp. 9% hp/s you're gonna last about 10 seconds no matter what ship you play. I think it should deal really small damage at first, and only start to grow the longer you're inside it.

    Also negative healing is too intense, reduced healing would be acceptable. Heck, even nullifying healing completely wouldn't be as bad as negative healing lol.

    Still kinda cool seeing this concept here again tho.

    It is a bad idea. Defenders and especially shooters(most popular ship) can sink every other boat in a brawl. There is no way to fight them except playing smart and tactical.

    Terrible idea.
    It would stop people using the whole map in fear of the storm.

    Remember the maps arent just open bowls / circles.
    Say Wayward pains you are in the corridor and the storm comes in.
    You cant navigate straight out of the storm as there is a wall there, so you have to float down a corridor whilst getting eaten alive?
    Map control and peeking are key to high level gameplay, if the storm is just going to throw us into a small circle and force a fight, speeders, fixers and enfos might as well retire.

    All 10 boats could start in an overhead blimp, and are lowered by parachute.
    You can move to drop into any part of the map you want via the parachute.
    Instead of equipping weapons we have to loot treasure chests to see what weapons we find, whilst ensuring we stay out of the storm.
    Why has nobody thought of this before! Oh wait...

    What about this game mode.

    A meme storm closes in on the battlefield with time and damages you with meme power. You get 5 percent meme damage per second and all healing is converted to memes. You also have to fly out of the air via meme parachutes and loot meme chests. Any ship within the meme storm will be temporarily blinded as memes will cover their screen. Sounds fun?

    That's why I suggested it not start until the 5 minute timer is up. 9 out of 10 battles would be completed by then. Even if the spread was slow, the game could have a little push to determine a victor instead of ending in a lame draw.

    Either way, I can't really see this getting into the bay, but it's still not that bad of an idea. Players would be able to adapt to it, I'm sure.

    The storm WOULD work well if the game was 3v3
