Speeders- mortars, torps, or cannons?

Should I use mortars, torps, or cannons?

 

I don't know about you, but I think torps with a grenade or mine is the best on a speeder... or at least the most fun to play with.

 

Im looking for usefulness, not fun

 

Mortar on speeder is a very rare setup i reccomend it for enforcers more. Torps are best suited on speeders but sometimes in 1v1 situation enemy playing too carefully and if you won't use frost, dual torp can be trouble. So you can use torps with any cannon. There are many speeders using this setup in nightmare. But, most common speeder setup is flare and explosive cannon/blast cannon. This is a great setup and at least keeping that effectiveness in all situations. I think that setup is what are you looking for.

 

K. Since I don't have any burn perks or talents, ill go with cannon and torp. Should I use standard or explosive cannon? And which torp?

 

@Hokuse pls tell me, standard or explosive and what kinda torpedo?

My opinion on what weapons a speeder is good with at end game:

Best: 1)Blast, 2)flare, 3)ex cannon
Good: 4)Grenade, 5)big torp, 6)mine, 7)sniper, 8)carronade, 9)swift torp

However, do note that all of the ex cannons talents are unlocked later in the Bhurt tree. I believe they start at level 21?

Try to find a combination of two of these that work. Setups like swift torp + mine for example would not be the greatest despite both those being pretty good speeder items, meanwhile flare + blast/Explosive seems to be the meta.

Also, it just greatly depends on what the game gives you. Eventually, anybody will be able to get whatever t5 rare item they want, but the problem is going from there what epics you can use, as you will probably not get to choose your favorite weapon. But don’t worry about that now, just stash all the good epics you get.

 

I think it depends on which role you prefer: flanker, mortar Guy (don't know how to label it), assassin, trapper or unique? Here's my suggestion:
If flanker, frost blaster + favorite torp + favorite cannon
If mortar guy, frost launcher + favorite mortar + sniper (there's a video from flying d'ouch man on the you tube with that setup)
Assassin: Flare gun or grenade + Explosive or blast Cannon; Explosive + blast cannon
Trapper: Mine + favorite cannon; Napalm + sniper
Unique: something different from those

Never use std cannon on speeder. You need high burst damage, not dps.

 

Mostly speeders prefer big torpedo and blast. If it was me, i use explosive and swift torpedo. But if you use frost blaster with big torpedo it will be more powerful than swift of course. For standart cannon you need to fire it continuous and speeders just not good with that. It has mostly a hit and run styles.
