Hey there, I've only used shooter defender and fixer so far in the bay. I wanted to try out the speeder, but i'm quite not sure what the role of a speeder is. A lot of people told speeder needs exceptional skill level or there is no point playing one.
Here are some of the things i tried so far.
As soon as the round began, i went scouting into the enemy base, i got wrecked.
Tried to stay behind my team, didnt work as expected.

So if anyone could please share some info on how i should use this ship, it would be very helpful. Thanks in advance. Cheers.

Stay extremely aware of the map. Your team, the unfriends, the walls, etc.

There are countless stradegies as a speeder. With that immense amount of speed comes a wide range of possibilities. Some speeders choose to scout the enemy team at the start, they focus on spotting the enemy and take all the shots they can for their team.
Other speeders go the assassination route, these speeders are aware of EVERY move from both the enemy and the friendly. If they spot a possible kill, they run in quickly, take the shots, kill the player, and run back.
Then there is the distraction speeders. These guys taunt the enemy by getting very close, in hopes to lure out a couple enemies from the pack. After this, they send a command to their team to destroy the stragglers, and run away.
Finally some speeders use all of these tactics depending on maps and which ships they are with/against. Practice will grant you the skills you need.
To sum everything up, you NEED to have FULL control of your ship. If you do, no one will be able to even hit you, and you can get surprisingly close to death very often ;)

Mind you if you're playing speeder for first time you'll drop your infamy by considerable margin. Being a speeder doesn't mean you have to work alone, see which player your team is targeting or see if any stragglers and go after him. If you have Frost, freeze targets for your team. If you have stun, use stun to stun last player who is away from shots so he can not contribute. "And please don't ever use 2 mines, never ever".
Rest you'll figure out once you get into it.

And you can try out already available meta that is
    1) Flair plus BC or EC
    2) Frost plus Big Torp
    3) Or you can find your own combination

I would recommend you the 3rd option.

I just hit lvl 16. I'm not really bothered about infamy right now, I just wanna learn how to use the ships. I was thinking of using canon and a grenade launcher/sniper for my speeder. Sadly I still don't have a freeze blaster. I'm using nitro and over boost, so if I were to use a Tesla bolt, what should I switch it with? And for the blue slot, should I use turbo or just go with a standard/big shield?

It will also depend on what your infamy and what MK your speeder is at. For yellow items I would recommend Overboost and turbo. At lower levels you will be so much faster than everyone else you can sneak behind players for a quick hit and run away. If you have a bandaid it works great as a blue item paired with turbo. You can also use a shield with turbo. I prefer bandaid since I have lower health healing helps a lot. For damage it depends on your slots. I use big torpedo cannon. I would prefer blast cannon but I still have not gotten a rare blast cannon in the game.

    Enjoy speeder

Switch your nitro with any other yellow item.
Turbo is must and overboost too you will need speed rather than hp. Yeah cannon grenade launcher seems good carry at least one heavy hitter.

Basically, try not to make yourself a target. Once the unfriends start focusing on you, you probably won't live long. If you're able to get behind them without being spotted, then you can do a lot of damage.

Alternativly, you can try to 'shoot the moon' and draw as much fire as possible. But it's dangerous... unless you and your team are also putting out good damage, the distraction won't mean much.

I've been maining Blast Cannon and Ex Cannon for a while (2x BC at mk3). But it's not always easy to get in range, and every shot I miss is a disaster with on two guns. I often wish I'd focused on the sniper instead, so I'm able to hang back with my team more, and 'theoretically' might miss less.

Nice for MK3 I would recommend sniper cannon and blast cannon. Once you go to MK4 you have 2 slots with 3 points and you can go big torpedo if you want. MK4 is a significant upgrade on the speeder. Once you go MK5 that is when you want to choose between frost blaster or Tesla bolt as your 3rd yellow. I prefer Tesla bolt as it is more accurate and let’s you survive or set up a big shot.

DO NOT USE SNIPER AND BLAST CANNON TOGETHER! You will waste potential crew upgrades if you use both. Pick one and put all bhurt's upgrades onto that type of cannon.

Use bandage and know when to retreat, you need very good awareness of your surroundings, pick clean shots, use overboost and or nitro to get out of danger, help friendlys engaged in 1 v 1 battles, other speeders will immediately target you because it's hard to fire when being chased and you're an easy kill to them so don't let them tail you if they do follow you try to drag them back towards your team mates

Evolve those grenades with some range perks and you should be wrecking people at that level

When I first started using the speeder I went with BC and Swift it is a great combo. I use BC and firebomb now. I will sometimes switch back to Swift as my secondary. Main thing is when you start using the speed don't get bummed out it takes awhile to keep changing combos to see what you like
