Should Napalm get a Buff?

    currently, the napalm isn’t as good to its brother, the fire bomb.
    So my idea is to make the napalm freeze the enemy while in it

    Napalm used to work well with Frost Launcher, but I think they changed it so that it breaks frost (just another one of the many nerfs that Frost didn’t need). So I guess they don’t want people frozen in Napalm.

    It doesnt break frost, and a freezing napalm neither makes sense, nor is it in any way balanced.

    It doesn't, I saw Reborn...X using a napalm frost combo yesterday/the day before, in Cap or Kill.

    @TheAntiSnipe is right. I just tested it and Napalm doesn’t seem to affect frost at all. My mistake.

    I used to use the combo occasionally, and it was quite good, but after the frost nerf it appeared people could just drive straight out of it. I assumed it was because the Frost was being broken, but on reflection I guess it was just that the Frost effect was reduced so much, I couldn’t see it working.

    I think a fundamental issue that I have with this, is thinking of napalm as a conventional weapon comparable to firebomb.

    For me, napalm is a pure (powerful) crowd control item. You can use it to split up the enemy, keep then from entering certain areas, and force them to move from well entrenched, defensive positions.

    Those crowd control advantages are massive. Damage is a bonus, but the ability to move opponents to where you want them is it’s primary purpose. Being on the other end, when a well skilled user herds you like cattle, is devastating.

    Blanket the enemy in napalm and let the torps loose. Those flames are great for blinding the enemy team as well and dropping their frame rate quite a bit.
