Repair Bolt Invulnerable Perk Question

    Does anyone know if the invulnerability removes fire status or will stun/slow have an effect on invulnerable target?

    My guess is that it'll make the target immune to all damage for a period of time.

    If it acts like the spawn buff in TDM, you'll still be able to apply debuffs (eg: light a ship on fire, freeze it) but it won't have any effect until the shield wears off.

    but do you think it will cancel current debuffs?

    i do hope it does. it’s just chance anyway and defies the definition of invulnerable if you’re still on fire even in ‘invulnerable’ status

    Invulnerability is essentially a new status effect. I wonder if it will require some kind of resistance to stop it from being abused.

    I guess this invulnerability would qualify as the ‘mine clearing’ mechanism that people have been asking for.

    the 'mine clearing' would just be a chance if you’re in the right place when the invulnerability kicks in. So not that all reliable imo.

    my vision for this play would be a charging defender, followed by a double bolt fixer sandwiched by others

    I think the opportunity might arise quite often on some maps.

    For example, on Damage Depot and Dropdead Gorge, people often try to block the entrances to the capture area with mines.

    This prevents the unfriends from advancing, but they usually stay right by the entrance and try to attack over the mines. The Fixer will probably also be right behind Fixing the attacking ship. With a 25% chance, it’s just a matter of time before the lead ship gets invulnerability, at which point he can advance over the mines and clear the way for his whole team.

    I feel like this is going to make that kind of control capture all the more difficult, which is a big nerf for mines.

    It won't remove effects but while you are invulnerable you won't take damage from fire until the 5s are over (guessing it's 5 seconds)

    Just a question to the devs:

    Is this in any way related to the Invunerability Bolt I had suggested like months ago?
    Edit: The name was Immortalitry Beam, not Invunerability Bolt, oops. It's been a long time.
