I think it's a great idea, but unfair without some sort of time buffer in place. You should be able to receive your guild's rewards for the season you just played, and then move to a new guild without any sort of penalty. Otherwise just joining a new guild means you lose out on an entire season's rewards. That's unfair to say the least.

The first day of guild rivalry season should allow for transfers without penalty. After that you lose your ability to gain awards.

Unfortunately allowing "trading windows" would leave the exploit still possible. Meaning players could claim their rewards and immediately the whole guild jumps to a fresh entry level guild for easy rivalry win.

We realize this increases friction in switching between guilds but we feel this is not necessarily a bad thing overall because it increases guild loyalty and improves fair play in rivalry.

Hold on... If you put an hour or two buffer between the ending of one season and the start of another, then that solves the problem. People can switch and there is no loophole to exploit, because the new season hasn't officially started. That's the fix right there. A cool down period between seasons to allow players to switch guilds. This will solve the exploitation problem, because the guilds will be in place before the start of the new season. Put a Transfer Countdown clock in place.

So my second account just lost out on 42,000 tokens because i consolidated my two guilds into one. I claimed my rewards from the previous season and immediately went into the main guild where I've stayed. I worked my ass off for those rewards. If anything, you guys should have grandfathered in this season and implemented the new rule for next season. You don't change the rules in the middle of the game...

I've just made a new guild by myself because our leader has been inactive for over a week. My guildmates were planning on following me after they got their rivalry rewards. Now they are not going to follow since they will lose out on this week of rewards AND I cannot go back because I'll miss out on the rewards.

That's because this wasn't thought out properly. They're so worried about exploitation now because of the previous fiasco, that they are penalizing people who play by the rules. A cool down time between seasons for guild switching is the absolute perfect solution. And they should have grandfathered in this season and not sprung up a new rule 3 hours before this season ended. What about the pearls i spent for boosts?

I lost 42k tokens because of this new unannounced fix. You developers are really frustrating.

And now are truly getting past free market. Or democracy. And straight into King Developer mode.have u considered cool downs?

Have u considered a day between guild rivalry start.

Even other games War Machines which destroys your game in the amount of money made....allows for 1 day switching to guilds.

Here is a novel idea. Post the change u are gonna do in advance next time.

    And stop punishing retro actively.

    It's getting Stupid.

You are punishing people playing this fairly.

We decided it was necessary to change the rules immediately before the rivalry ended, as the old rules were already actively being exploited. Otherwise, the exploiters would have gained considerable unfair benefits.

I personally understand it is frustrating for you (and others) - we as a team felt it was a "necessary evil" to guarantee fair play.

Rules changes in general are not going to be to everyone's liking - we are aware of that. The rule change will remain as communicated.
