Re-work Slots and Stats for ALL Ships

    Since the day I joined, I wanted my ship to have all the slots unlocked for maximum capability.
    After about 9 months, I finally got to mk6 to make this dream come true.
    But I still felt like those 9 months were all about me playing a handicapped version of the game.
    I felt that if I was able to level enough items, I should be able to use them.
    I didn't appreciate being artificially prevented from progressing.

    Here's my proposal:
    - Keep all 7 MK levels in the game
    - All slots are now available at all MK levels
    - Speed, Ship Agility, and Turret Agility are now static at all levels (set to the current MK-7 levels)
    - That makes HP the only thing to change between MK levels


    This does the following:
    - New players can use more gear right away when they get it
    - More things to play with, more things to invest in
    - More dynamic game play at early levels (every ship gets multiple options)
    - No more waiting months and months just to get that critical extra slot for a certain item combo
    - No more weird stat reductions as you level.... up?

    Shooters can do more damage.
    Defenders can equip more shields.
    Speeders can experiment with different yellow item combos.
    Enforcers can experiment with different yellow item combos.
    Fixers can heal more.

    Granted, these adjustments may require that the HP values for each ship's MK level be rebalanced too, but that should be trivial.

    Most importantly, this will actually help close the gap between rookies and existing players, because they won't be artificially gated against progression.

    Thoughts?

    It would also help brand new players against seal clubbers. They’d have more slots to use to defend themselves.

    This is extremely novel and interesting... I'm not sure what the ramifications of this would be, but it could definitely work.

    I can't say I like this idea. It would make upgrading your ship mk level feel a lot less important and meaningful and thus reduce the feeling of achievement when you finally get it.

    Besides, there's only one slot that takes "months and months" to unlock and that's the mk6 one.
