Question about defence

    What is the defence score exactly? Does it subtract that number from the unfriend's weapon's score when it hits you? That is, if they have a cannon that deals 100 damage and you have a defence of 10, they would deal 90 damage against you?

    yes, and it's per projectile, so say carronade that does 4x100 would have each bullet reduced by 10, resulting in a 40 total damage reduction.
