Problem: Battle Bay not reopen gracefully when leaving the game idle or turning the phone to sleep

I have been having this problem since I started playing this game almost a year ago. Since the last update, this problem seems to be worse.
If I do not explicitly quit BB, and either:
- leave the game on without touching the phone for a period of time
- switch to another app
- turn off the screen
Then, when I go back to the game, it would stop responding, sometimes with the BB screen and other times with black screen.
To workaround, I have to manually close BB and reopen it. (And every time it has to reload everything and take so long to finish)

This happened to me on multiple devices:
- LG G3 (Android 6)
- Redmi Note 4 (Android 7)
- and a Huawei tablet (Android 4.3)

Anybody having this problem? Any solutions?

 

Just a moment ago, after a TDM battle, I copied the battle url and switch to Google Keep to paste it there. When I switch back to BB, it shows black screen.
It is on a Redmi Note 4.

 

Happens to me too. Idk why but I think it's just like that with games that require internet all the time (I don't play a lot of games though so I may be wrong).
