i need advice on how not to break the rules (like intentionally losing, infamy tanking etc.) when i want to use my lower level ships and weapons. i am an mk4 fixer and i almost never played any other ship since i got my fixer. i am hovering around 1800 - 1900 infamy right now and i was thinking of trying to play my other ships and weapons but after reading other threads here where people are accused and shamed for infamy tanking or intentionally losing, i am now at a loss on what to do to play with my other ships and not get banned for breaking the rules. hence i need useful advice from people who know what to do.

almost all my weapons are lvl 1 except for my big berta lvl 6 and standard cannon lvl 30. i want to play with my mk2 shooter, mk2 speeder and mk1 enforcer. should i just hop in my mk2 shooter with lvl1 weapons at 1900 infamy and play? sure i will try to win - i wouldnt mind losing but i am pretty sure someone is bound to be pissed at me, take a screenshot and complain about me here in the forum. in another thread, people who gave the accused "the benifit of the doubt" had some mud slung their way and were also accused of intentionally losing themselves. i dont want to deal with those kinds of lynch mob posts. i just want to play with my ships to get to know the other ships besides my fixer. please give me useful advise on this.

I suggest you lvl it up more and take it slowly, if you realize you aren't winning matches then don't keep clicking the battle button (no one likes people who doesn't help the team), understand why or how you lost and make improvements based on that. Be patient and soon your other ships can be just as great as your fixer

I'll be honest with you, FIRST lvl your ships to mk4 before you enter a match at that infamy range. No matter how good you are, you'll be dragging the other 4 players down if you use an mk1 or mk2 ship now. So don't be selfish and get another mk4 first.

This being said, you'd be extremely selfish if you still decide to go into a fight with an mk2 or lower ship.

Sorry if my comment seems a little bit agressive, but I have zero respect for people ruining a match.

If you main it mk4 it seems resonable to play an alt at mk3. The 1.5million push to mk4 is a tad much just to see if you like another ship or not.

Using a mk1 wont give you a useful idea of what it plays like anyway.

It sucks that there is no way to really practice with a weaker ship. Without dragging a team down. This is one of the reasons we need a campaign mode.

I hate that we don't have a reasonable way to move between ships. The current system incents you to specialize and takes some of the excitement out of the game.

Yea I started with defender and had my defender and shooter both lvl to mk4 before switching to the shooter. And made sure I had rare or epic weapons to fill the slots with. All though my epic Berta has been on t1 since I started a few months ago. By epic Canon is t2 and I can't for the life of me get a 2nd rare long range motar :( butt none the less deff lvl up before switching. Honestly I get annoyed when both sides are all mk4 and we get stuck with an mk2.

i really dont want to spend time or resources grinding out a ship im gonna hate A training room would be nice maybe with AI bots. It would be cool to try all the different tier ships, weapons and equipment. Coming up with some really cool loadouts with all the different ship at any tier. not like it matters tho your at the mercy of R&G for your loadout so you might not ever get that ideal weapon or equipment. i guess they could get rid of infamy altogether and place you by tier of ships and loadouts. So if you want to play your lvl 2 speeder with new weapons and equipment you could get place with people who have similar stuff. there would probably be someone who puts his legendary canon on a tier 1 speeder to try and exploit it so you would have to make restrictions.

If you already have a Mk4 ship, then it would not be hard at all for you to get your other ships to Mk3. Don't play a Mk2 at 1800 infamy, when you CAN upgrade your other ships with relative ease. Playing 1 Mk below your level is fine, but dropping to Mk2 is pretty much intentionally losing.

ok thanks for the suggestions and ideas everyone. .. from what i gather, i will level up my weaker ships that i want to try out to mk3 before playing them at 1800 infamy. i will also try to upgrade the weapons that i will be trying out as best i can but my other weapons will still be lower in level compared to the others players in that infamy level.

thanks again for the advice and ideas everyone.
