Opinion - Blue or Green Equipment?

Just wondering other peoples opinions on this.

So you can use green items and because of there regular acquisition, you can level them up through the tiers quite easily.

You can use blue items if you get them but then your stuck at the first tier unless you get the incredibly unlikely occurrence of getting another so you can upgrade tier. Meaning the green will out do it every time once leveled.

What do yall think? Any other thoughts?

 

i think you are getting more green items than blue ones but i have the opposite problem. i need the green items but i get more blues than greens. i think most would say its up to luck but i feel theres a sadistic dev that programmed the game in such a way that you get more items that you dont need and get less of what you actually need. (thats just the way i feel in terms of item acquisition in this game)

 

Sadism has nothing tl do with it. Its programmed that way to force micropayments and pearl buying to get boxes. Its greed, not sadism.

The item bottleneck and horrible matchmaking are ruining this game for me and will cause me to quit, sooner rather than later.

 

Do everyone a favour and go now. Go torture a spider or whatever people like you do when you arent spamming forums, trolling and ruining the experience for the rest of us.

I believe the post was meant to be about uncommon (the green) and rare (the blue) items. Not the actual blue/green/red/yellow items.

I had no issue with developing uncommons until I got enough rares to switch. If you are lucky, you can skip uncommon. But I typically started with an uncommon. You look at what is in your inventory and kind of make a judgment call (do a little stat math too). No rares for a needed item (or only one and you really need 2 or 3), then go uncommon!

 

I use uncommon unless I get a lot of rare. For example I have 5 uncommon big torpedos which I plan on using to evolve one to max. Also, I have 4 rare cannons (lol) so if I want to use cannon, I can do that.

 

Just use whatever you can get your hands on. I'm building my gears for my MK6 fixer as a side project, I only got a rare pulse builded up at the moment at lv 40 on my MK5 fixer.
Just got an epic pulse 2 weeks back but I'm holding back to level it up since I don't have a duplicate piece for evolve and there is still other items I can level up as main weapon on my shooter at the moment.
I got uncommon pulse quite often so I build 1 planning to max it out for use 1st before another epic pulse come along for evolve.
The specs for max uncommon pulse is still much better than a lv 10 epic pulse.

 

At lower levels, using uncommons is just fine. Use rates if you have them though.

 

I have an uncommon cannon that is level 10 and I haven't found another to rank it to tier 2 yet. Yesterday I just found my first rare cannon. Is it worth still upgrading/using the uncommon cannon over the rare? My player level is only 12 so I don't think I can unlock tier3 weapons for a long while

 

I think you should focus on the rare cannon since at same level it will be stronger than uncommon.
If you have not find any other weapon to replace your cannon down the road than can consider upgrading uncommon cannon when you have duplicate.
Most of the player drop cannon due to the low damage output.

 

Generally the next tier up is approx 10-12 levels better

I.e
rare 8 > uncommon 20
Epic 38 > rare 50

So if your "best" uncommon has not been evolved past 10, the rare will always be better
But then you need to consider the chances of getting another one, which is low, especially when you reach epic+ tiers

So id say if you are free to play, stick with uncommons. A small spender, rares and only if you are spending over > 1000 go with epic.
Its a long journey as f2p but you can get there.
