    I told myself I wouldn't get a mk5 shooter because I didn't want to become a mindless spammer. I then realized I had the gold and gave it a shot. I had fallen from 15-1600 infamy to around 1000 when I tried to learn speeder. After buying the shooter, I lost a few more getting used to what order to cycle my weapons, and when to use which weapons. However, I am now roughly 200 infamy higher than I started about 15 minutes later. I made some awesome 1v2 comebacks against other shooters, and I'm thinking of sticking with it. I'm 2 days away from t4 cannons, and I can bring my epic sniper and ex cannon to new heights. I realized that shooter can be spammed, and used fairly well, but if you plan your shots, you can just pick off each member of the enemy team easily. Once I get my leggy sniper cannon, I'll run double sniper and will hopefully hit 2300. Thanks for listening to me babble.

    Glad its working out for you bro.
    Like you I actually detested shooter, I prefer to play fixer / enfo.
    That said I have a lot of weapons that are viable on a shooter too, epic 40 firebomb, epic 40 sniper, epic 40 blast etc.
    I had spare gold sitting there so I got the MK6 so I could continue to work on multiple legendary achievement weapons and it has been surprisingly enjoyable.
    I still prefer enfo, but its nice to jump in the shooter and plough through enemies every now and again.

    Yeah, I main defender, but I have fun being able to blast away constantly.

    I've been thinking of getting me a shooter for a LONG time. Maybe put up double flare double blast nade on it and whanging away at the enemy all day.
    Let me be clear, I LOVE the shooter. I've just not had any luck with the items needed... Until now.
    FEAR my future mk6 with t4E turbo, a BS and a SS, dual blast dual flare nade. Pure brawler LOL

    I like shooter too and used to play it, but it doesn't fit my playstyle because I play kinda aggressive and rush into the battle, so if I play any other ship than defender or speeder, I'll most likely die in the beginning.

    I mained shooter all the way to Mk5, and then discovered my love for Enfo!

    I only use shooter for events. Mindless weapon spamming is somehow good in events.

    I'd use speeder in the new event but obviously speeder got nerfed again and you can't use overboost or nitro

    Speeders can use overboost and nitro in the new event. THey just can't use it while carrying the flag. It makes the game fair.

    I agree that they will be strong, but shooters will shut them down. And the reduced mines could allow them to be used as more point damage style weapons.
