    I went 3600 once on my mk5 ship .
    Normal infamy is 3000 - 3200
Later when I did guild quest with unfamiliar weapon I lost infamy to 2800
Now I am labelled for tanking.

They should do something like 800 (max drop of infamy) and base infamy like 2500 for mk5 ships similarly for all mk ships.

Now it is very hard to advance. Thinking of stopping..

They should actually "flag" a player for tanking after the player loses that much infamy, then give that player's last 10 games to an unbiased "watchman", who will scrutinize the player's behaviour in-game and then determine whether he/she is tanking.

    Or.

They could have a system in which, if a player is reported x number of times AFTER dropping 800+ infamy, he is labelled a tanker.

Unfortunately the panel is unworkable. Either they would need to pay people to watch game replays all day or they would need volunteers...

Besides, replays don’t show the unfriendly players who disappear right before you get a lock on them, hit you twice while invisible then reappear again once they make cover. Or the whole team suddenly appearing well within grenade range and killing you instantly. In the replay both of those look like you sat there eating shots on purpose

    Iam
also suffering the same. Lost 800 infamy just bcoz i changed my usual loadout to a new one that i got from the crates. So....now its boring as hell. I already reduced my daily matches from 30-40 matches to 2-5 matches per day.

I think we need a notification when we are near the 100 infamy above the tanking zone so we can play more carefully, fleet with a good friend. The motivation to play after we get listed as a tanker is pretty low and it is a hard task to motivate oneself. Some might even consider quitting if they are not moving towards their non tank zone. So some sort of notification or warning in game would be good.

Are you able to tell if someone has been labeled a "tanker" when you see them in the bay or in a match? Just wondering out of curiosity ;)

And once again I am pleased that I've never allowed my infamy to get high enough for this to be a problem. Rovio, in my opinion, is going about this whole tanking thing entirely incorrectly. They can punish the tankers all they want (tankers like me). But that isn't going to solve the problems which are making me tank. All it'll do is drive me from the game. I'm a competitive player in every game I play. I also enjoy punching up... way up. If I were Rovio I'd be asking why is a competitive player who enjoys ridiculous challenges and hates sandbagging his team doing so?

Until they get the infamy, matchmaking, and gear progression sorted this sort of thing is always going to be a problem and no amount of kludges like the 800 point limit is going to fix it. You can't fix a problem by going after the symptoms.

I'm kind of curious how, exactly, an observer would be able to know I was tanking rather than just executing a really poor strategy pretty well. I myself cannot tell unless I specifically remember the match and the answers are muddle because I frequently change my mind one way or the other. Where'd you see the difference clearly is if you looked at matches from before I decided "too much winning" was my number one problem in BattleBay. There you'd see that my strategy was entirely different... much more conservative and thoughtful.

Even worse, even if they magically developed a computer algorithm that could identify the tankers 100% accurately and autoban them what would that solve? At that point they've got all the same problems they used to have but with fewer customers.

I reached 3208 before the introduction of guild quests with a mk5 fixer and all rare items but since guild quests I spend 11/14 days every season in so-called tanking zone no matter how well I play. The highest I have achieved since then is 2900 but that is still 308 below pb and I seem to hover around 2600 mark now which is 600 below pb so a 200 infamy loss puts me in “tanking zone”.
Most losses I finish in top 2 on team so am not deliberately trying to lose infamy but having shooters with all torps or mine+napalm+firebombs or all mortars is a certain loss and frustrating as hell.
On verge of quitting (have stopped spending) unless they can solve this situation as the no star or xp and only 25% rewards is making the game very un enjoyable and no amount of money spent can improve the matchmaking or loadouts people choose to play with but what I will say is before guild quests people wouldn’t dream of going into battle with the loadouts they do now.

Actually all these problems started after we were introduced with guild quest.

You get 0 stars, and are matched up against players who are at your level. Also, you gain reduced rewards.
