New event idea!

What if the devs created 3-5 different load outs for each ship and completely randomized which ship you got for a 5v5?
This way the ships would be equal, no one could complain about higher geared ships, and it would be based on complete skill because you never know what ship or load out you will have until the battle starts!
This takes away infamy, gear score, and even allows lower level players the ability to play top ships in game without farming for the next 3 years to get the weapons for a weekend.

Also make it where the forum links to your account on game so that we can see these people's set up who are constantly crying so we can help them (or make fun of them) out to make the game more enjoyable for everyone. knowing if someone was at 3k infamy vs 500 when they are posting would be a great help

This is a no brainer solution for the battle bay never-ending matchmaking issues.
Most online competitive games I've played have at least one mode where you can play with equalized gears and stats. But it's been changing lately with the emerging F2P gaming model that rely on spending whale players to operate.
Having an equalized mode will be "bad for the business" because it will lower the incentive for players to spend their monies on the game.
In f2p games you need to spend big bucks or grind for at least 2 millenia to have the privilege having top equipments.
So, I don't think this equalized mode will come anytime soon. I'd love to see rovio proving me wrong, though.

 

I was talking about using it as one of their events. So it would only last 3 days, and I feel once the power is felt more players would spend $$$
