Mk 4 speeder trying to find the best loadout

I have one weapon slot open since my rare blast cannon is my go to. I have been using an epic long range mortar. My other choices are epic grenade, epic flare gun, rare swift torpedo, rare cannon, rare ballpark mort.
I really like the flare but it's not leveled up very high.
I realize everyone works better with certain setups, just looking for some tips and what you guys would use

 

Sadly most of those weapons other than flare don't fit too well on speeders (grenade and swift are alright), but flare + blast can be a good combo once you train your captains far and get the perks for % increase to burning targets

 

with your weapon you can try a speeder spamming mortar around the map?
epic flare gun even at lvl10 can be quite dangerous.

Standard cannon sucks on a speeder. It has great dps and you can win with it if you have the right speed and agility but usually you'll wind up dead before you can do decent dmg on people

 

My friend (mk4 speeder) got to 2900 using a level 30 rare st cannon + a level 30 rare sniper cannon. No weapon sucks. Only players suck with weapons.

 

Thx, good advice I was kind of leaning the same way. Using the flare and slowly upg it since epic parts aren't cheap. I'm getting the hang of lurking using cover till someone's close popn out tagging them w flare then blast shot

 

My point was about cannons and not sniper although sniper isn't good unless it crits either, standard cannon has low range and you get more reliable hits with it than blast or explosive cannons, however you risk exposing yourself to be well within the opponents weapon range meaning you'll constantly be under fire if the target has friends nearby or the enemy team has lrm or sniper. The cannon works really well but most players can do better with a blast and explosive combo of the same level and rarity you mentioned.

I mean, if you are gonna get close and expose yourself to fire, better go all the way, get real close and do a reliable 300 dmg than a 200 dmg that can maybe become 800 dmg

The point is, the base dmg of both sniper and cannon is too low, your friend may have excellent perks or be more skillful or cannons fit your friend's playstyle better but not everybody's your friend.

If we are gonna help the op, we have to recommend which weapon fits best for said op, not just your friend. And I think blast and explosive cannon fits speeder better

And I went all the way to 1100 with a dual cannon speeder and I've played with dual snipers too so I kinda know the down sides. Maybe I should have played a cannon and snioer combo and that's where I'm going wrong but still.

 

That seems like a personal opinion. A good speeder knows how to dodge shots and when to use tesla shield, bolt or nitro. And when yoi make a gun weapon your primary I'm sure your shots won't miss much

You dodge 4 and get hit by 6, hackers are the only speeders who never get hit. It is a personal opinion, the op asked for one and I put it out there, it's for him to choose what's best for him

 

I use my mk 3 speeder instead of my mk 4 ships in the challenger div 1 where there are only mk 4 shooters but this mk 3 speeder with the load out i use is op.

 

Hey there the loadout that i use for my mk 4 speeder and has high success rate if u knw how to play. I use a lvl 30 blast cannon uncommon, lvl 10 epic balst cannon, lvl 10 rare tesla bolt and shield, and a lvl 10 rare big shield all of this perked up.
The second loadout has only one change that is a lvl 15 long range mortar rare instead of one of the blast cannons.

 

both grenade and flare gun are good options to go with blast cannon. grenade inflicts burn when it crits, buffing blast cannon, and does area dmg.
