Mine / Torpedo Radius Alignment

    This isn't to be seen as a nerf thread so please don't get too excited.

    From experience I can't identify any difference in the amount of damage these items do to you, whether a direct hit or if your caught in its radius. The thought is to bring their AoE in line with mortars so the further you are away from them the less damage they do.

    I would actually be pretty mad if this was another irrational "Nerf torps" thread.
    Now I'm really confused as to what the point of this thread is...

    It would actually be very interesting to see some info about what % of damage area weapons deal at the furthest point within their area of effect... perhaps a dev can help?

    It's not an irrational thread. What I'm saying is from experience the area of damage on the torpedo and mine exploding appears to be different to that of a mortar landing. If your further away from a mortar landing point the damage reduces, this doesn't appear to work the same for a torpedo or mine.

    If you're caught within its blast radius or if you're on top of it you seem to take full damage regardless. I'm suggesting they should work the same or if they do already, a simple confirmation from a dev would suffice to shut this down.

    why do u wanna know?
    i'm relatively confident that torp dmg decreases as you are further away and same with mines if they blow up due to timer time (lol) when u happen to be far away enough to not trigger it but still in blast radius

    ofc dev confirmation would help

    No. Torps are fine, so are mines. Torps and mines have a small radius, which means you’ll either take all damage or none, barely any in between. Plus torps are fine, I splash people for 800 sometimes with my 2000 torp.

    The only thing that bothers me is that the big torp (2 slot points and harder to use) causes less damage than mines (1 slot point). But I have no idea if they are balanced, I guess they are :p

    Mines are mainly for herding enemies away so usually only 1 or 2 mines get a hit per game
