Mine question

So i read about this in some thread. I want to know whetjer its worth it to keep mine. I read that now mine have a duration, so after some time it will explode after a few minutes it is deployed. Is this true?

 

In the Capture the Flag it explodes in 18 seconds, so you can try hit enemies while it explodes by itself (it has a large blast radius)
I don't know much else cuz i don't use mines.

 

It has always had a duration (1:30). But in the capture the flag event, it only lasts 18 seconds. But ctf is going to end soon.

 

Thanks for the info guys , if thats the case then i'll scrap my mine. Because I thought mine only explode if unfriend pass by it and dont have duration.

 

So you think, that 1:30 is not enough for 5:00 battle?

 

isnt it 60s and not 90s ?

 

That's what I thought at first, but someone found on wiki that it was 90sec.

 

Leave it, it's a game changer if used properly (by that I don't mean tactless spamming )

 

Not thats not enough, i just feel that most of the mine i placed doesnt hit any target. Most of the time i used mine its either it took too long to lure unfriend to mine location or sometime their already notice it.

Maybe im just not good with using mine

 

In ctf I got many time bomb kills. I think the reduced duration actually resulted in me dealing more damage with mines.

 

It can work like napalm too - by closing off passageways or making it costly for a defender to bull rush you.

I don't have mines, but I know how annoying they can be for me =)
Sometimes it's really hard to "drive" ship through proper mine field. In that moments I usually regret not having a rudder =)
