Mid-Season Item and Ship Popularity Snapshot [27/11/18]

Back with the Item and Ship popularity Snapshot!

The shot is based on Statistics laid by data analysis of Top 50 players just after the mid-season.

Overall Item Popularity Snapshot :

• Comments:

1. Turbo, Big Shield and Bandage: The trio continues to dominate the top most position among snapshot, as always with 70% of players using that combo!
2. Explosive Cannon: The frost nerf boosted the use of this mighty red item, who is most popular among Defenders, Enforcers and Speeders!
3. Mortars and Torpedoes: Still not popular among top players! The frost nerf was harsh on them!

The Ship Popularity Snapshot :

and for the top places occupied by the respective ships :

• Comments:

1. Fixer and Enforcer: Both ships need a slight buff , as they continue to be the least used ships among the top players.
2. Defender: Surprisingly, Defender was seen at 4th position whereas the topmost Shooter was found at position 13.

Here comes the Ship-wise Item Popularity Snapshot:

First is , Speeder:

• Comments:

1. Turbo and Shield: Overtaking Over boost, these items are used by every speeder among the top payers!
2. Something to pay attention to : Among 24 Speeders on the Leaderboards, 12 ships used the SAME setup.

That is,

• Explosive Cannon
• Flare Gun
• Overboost
• Tesla Shield
• Tesla Bolt
• Turbo
• Big Shield
• Bandage

Second, Shooter:

• Comments:

1. Sniper Cannon, Turbo and Big Shield : This combo can be found on every shooter among top players, time for some nerfing!
2. Fall of the Explosive Cannon: With almost 80% shooter using the cannon last season, it's popularity has decreased tp 46.2% this season.

Now comes the tank, Defender:

• Comments:

1. Rise of the Bandage : Popularity of Turbo has fallen to 87.5%, while Bandage has gained popularity from 50% last season to 75% this season!
2. Fall of the Flare Gun : With 83.34% defenders equipping this item last season, the popularity has declined to 12.5%.
3. Rise of the Grenade Launcher: With no defender using this item last season, the launcher has undergone a sharp climb in usage!

Lastly, Fixer and Enforcers:

Snapshot ends with fixer and enforcer still being one of the least used ships among top players for infamy push!

PS:

• I know some people would be like, "what has the top players snapshot to do with us?" and all, this post is just to indicate Item usage and ship usage among top players.(your choice to make judgments on it or just have a look at it ).
• Nerfing and buffing can't be determined by just looking at the top players , but yes it gives the idea of what items are most powerful in the meta!
• This is my last post before I go for the month-long Exam break(of course I'll be active on forums but don't expect any major post)

Fixer in the top 25, woohoo! And 3 in the top 50.
I sense a nerf is coming before this gets out of hand, we are back around pre Repair Pulse nerf levels & that was obviously out of control

 

I sense an Enforcer Buff!

 

I don't really see explosive cannon equipped on enforcers

Can you include the amount each ship used next snapshot? Otherwise very informative post!

13 Shooters
8 Defenders
3 fixer
2 enforcers
