How is it that in every game, EVERYONE has better gear than me? I'm talking tier 5 epics and legendaries vs my tier 4 rares. It's a wonder that I'm still even winning, as I can't survive most matches (I only have mk 5), and I usually do the least or second least damage on my team. I know that a solution would be to become a whale, but I know that would only be a temporary solution. In one game I had to play against a nightmare league, I'm only ace.

This is kind of my ever-present game experience unless I start tanking. What is going on, for me at least, is that the infamy system says that I'm so damned good that I'm a full 7 levels above my actual level. If I recalibrate my ship that'd make me an early M5. Now if I look at the matchmaking screen the matches make more sense. This makes sense in some ways. I mean... if I'm that darned good then I should be able to perform, yeah? I don't disagree after having thought about it and experienced it.

The only problem is that what the game rewards me with for my stress and accomplishments is significantly reduced progression. I'm giving up on pushing for infamy. It's only good for bragging rights and who brags at Warrior Div 1? The price demanded for that dubious privilege is extreme. So my answer is not exactly tanking, but more like casual play. I just grind away with a devil may care attitude and it drops my infamy nicely into a lower bracket where progression flows more smoothly.

Play as hard as you can. LOL. Not bloody likely.
