Leveling up weapons

    Sorry if this has been posted before, had a look and couldn't find anything...
    Is there any benefit to combining 2 weapons that have both been leveled up or does it work out the same as if one of them is on level 1? Many thanks guys.

    If you have a duplicate that’s all matters. You don’t have to level it up.

    A previous post said that they COULD NOT combine 2 tier 3 weapons and several confirmed that. Leveling 2 just to combine them sounds like a waste of resources but I can understand the desire to refocus on one.

    To answer your question, the only benefit is if you plan on only running one vs 2. I see some people benefit from running 2 of the same mortars or sniper etc. If you like the weapon and want it twice, level 2. Otherwise dont pour resources into a 2nd one if you are just using it to level your main.

    On a related note: how many duplicates do you need to evolve an item from t4 to t5?

    I assumed it was always one duplicate to evolve, but then I read something in the patch notes that made it sound like you need two.

    Yeah, two duplicates to go from 4 to 5, so 6 total to get from. 1 - 5
