    NITRO VS OVERBOOST.


    They both have great sides, but it’s up to the community to choose the better one. And so the other one will get a buff.

    Nitro: great for avoiding damage, burst speed, quick reload (for late players)

    Overboost: good for distracting enemies. Makes you a harder target for a while.

    GEAR LUBE OR RUDDER

    Gear lube: good for ships that lack the agility.

    Rudder: good for fast ships and rotating away

    Choose 1 from each category, blue and yellow

    Don't buff nitro or overboost but buff gear lube and rudder

    This poll is not much use.

    Nitro and OB are perfect.

    Rudder and lube don't need a BUFF, they need a COMPLETE REWORK.

    Nitro and overboost are fine. Why do we have to buff one of them? Leave them like they are. I can’t really say anything about rudder and gear lube though. Never used one before.

    low cooldown nitro is hell for enemies when equipped on speeder while OB is usable on both yellow ships and also fixer, nitro is kinda useless on fixer (at least seems to be, maybe not with minimal cooldown)
    rudder is somehow good when you have training for it, perks and you leveled it up before to decent level, flaw is that it's training clashes with flare so you can't fully use either rudder or flare on ship when you have both of them equipped
    never used gear lube so I can't say a word about it

    I prefer Nitro's less predictable jumps over the steady speed of overboost. Rudder is basically OBJECTIVELY better than gear lube. With rudder and proper turning you can still better track speedy targets, but you get the bonus whole-ship maneuverability.

    See, I think Fixer should do alright with Nitro. But you'd probably need a decent turbo for general movement speed. But yeah, the jumpiness of nitro is always good if people are trying to kill you.

    yeah but it's better for both variants of fixer (normal and also selfish) to get longer lasting speed boost, with good perks and training, there isn't that long gap between boosts
    nitro is viable option only when you have at least full rare perks and good training as it decreases the cooldown, the cooldown might kill the fixer becaus he would be getting some serious damage while he would be waiting for his nitro to cooldown
    for normal it's better than nitro because you can cover distance quicker while you can still use your bolts etc.
    for selfish fixers it's better because you hunt your prey down, you can effectivelly chase speeders, escape from defenders and shooters, circle around enemy etc.

    I believe the gearlube effects are higher than rudder effects. Also, gearlube is good when you don't want to turn the whole ship, but just the turret, like when you're going one direction and shooting another. It also let's you switch targets faster. And if you turn on target lock with a good gearlube, you won't lose your target, and you won't have to manually turn your whole ship to shoot them.

    Nitro can send you into a mine so it’s not OP.

    Gearlube/rudder can be on anything or together on a ship, but primarily tudder is for fast ships and gear lube is for slow ones.

    There are 2 problems which make gear lube and rudder underused.
    1. Weapons do so much damage that it forces you to stack shields/bandages.
    2. All Ship's base speed is so low that you are forced to take a turbo.

    How to fix this, nerf weapons? nerf turbo? combine rudder/gear lube into 1 item? Sound like all bad options.

    I absolutely agree with this. It's practically impossible to survive in the higher leagues without a turbo or shield. Maybe the devs can consider buffing all the ships' base health or speed? Haven't thought much on that idea though so I may be wrong.

    My idea: make all ships have 10% more hp. 10% more speed.
    To balance that out all projectiles have to also move fast.
    But keep the stats of everything the same.
    And buff rudder and especially gear lube

    Unfortunately I've spent too much time thinking about. As a Defender main, I would love to make use of them since I have an abundance of Blue slots, but more shields always yield better results.

    I can't really see them ever being viable without a massive game system overhaul and all the ways I can see them doing this will annoy a lot of people. So its probably not worth upsetting the playerbase just so 2 items can be viable.
