Battle bay is the coolest game I've ever played on mobile device.
I've been playing for more than six months now and it was getting cooler every day until about a week ago when my infamy, which was usually between 1200 and 1300 started dropping and I couldn't help it. Now I'm about 928. In this past week I was barely able to win a game. It's about 1 win out of 8 games. Before it was like 6 out of 8. I've tried to be patient but the things are getting worse with each new attempt.
I've already found a similar tread https://forum.battlebay.net/threads/match-ups-may-cause-me-to-leave-battle-bay.14658/ so I see that other players experience my problems.
I don't know what is the real reason of the problem that I'm experiencing, but I know it's not my abilities, because it'll be quite strange to suddenly loose them only within a week ;)
So I'm not wasting more time because of someone's wrong decisions or marketing moves.
    Good bye!

Granted that you have been playing for more than six months..

    1) 1300 infamy
    2) 6 wins out of 8 games

Sorry about that, it happens to all of us. :(
It usually helps to watch YouTube vis and take a step back and think over your strategy.
    Hopefully this helps. ;)
    All the best,

Everyone has infamy swings; it's up to you how you handle them. Review your old games (and the patch notes) and try to figure out why you've suddenly taken a hit - did you switch loadouts, are you playing more (or less?) aggressively, or are you just having a run of poor luck? Or perhaps you just need to mix it up and try a different ship (assuming you won't bring a Mk3 into an Mk5 match, of course) to see if something else has grabbed you?

It is a tradition in most forums for mobile games I have played in the past that if you are going to post a quitting thread to attach a screenshot of you disenchanting all your equipment. To avoid the accusation this is just another pointless attention seeking exercise (which I’m sure this isn’t. :) )

Yep it's totally not your abilities or skill. I'm pretty sure you don't suck at the game at all and you are not in denial just like everyone else here posting of quitting (which is just trying to get attention and sympathy, which I'm sure you aren't):D

From 1300 down to 900? Seriously dude, that's nothing.

My worst day on the bay saw my infamy drop from 1261 to 256. And that was before the change to match making. That drop wasn't intentional at all. I just played really badly on that particular day... I'm lying, I played down right horribly (like disgraced my family name, horribly). It took weeks for me to climb out of that slump. But I made it back up. I climbed up to like 1456 and currently hover around in the 1200 - 1300 area.

And I tell you that to let you know this one simple thing. I suck at this game. Been playing it since the 3rd week after launch. I have not invested a single dollar in it. I've been making mistakes since day one. I've complained to my friend about everything in the game. But I keep hitting battle, win or lose (I hit share replay whenever i pull a draw). On average, I lose around 20 to 50 battles a day. AND I've still made it into Master's League! (That's my personal achievement as a player that sucks, so don't mind if I brag about it.) If I can do it, so can you.

Take your losses like a... like an adult. If you're not an adult then.. Just dump some sugar on the lost battles. It might be expensive but it'll make them taste better.

P.S. I play a lot. Like all night and anytime of day a lot. Sometimes the game punishes me for it. But I try to earn at least 64 to 96 pearls and 42 to 64 stars a day. And enough sugar to train whoever is up next. Other than that it's all fun.

P.P.S. Infamy does not and will never mean anything UNTIL Rovio inserts a break between seasons or gives players an option to enter the league. Guilds currently disrupt the league and upset the infamy ladder. Seal clubbers have kind of been dealt with due to the matchmaking change (IMO (but it has brought new problems too)). And no one should have to worry about their infamy at all times. As it stands now if you drop to low, no matter the reason or method, you still get punished. I've been punished before and I don't like it. But so long as I've got my quests, daily boxes and free crates... I'll be on the bay. #Survivor

MY worst was just heartbreaking. 2299(get the number?) To straight up 1700.
Also, edit: Master league is badass, innit? I got in two-three weeks ago(got some great raffle draws, which I prolly won't ever again) with a plan to make Ace by the next season. Here I am! 14 straight losses couldn't stop me lol. #Survivor.

Just take a break. That’s what I do all the time. Play other games like Rocket League or something fun that doesn’t have Nerfs or Buffs every 2 months.

Yep! It's been my goal for the longest just to get in. I've been trying to get close to my friends infamy range so I can beat him up as an unfriend one day. He'll probably shred my boat to pieces though, he's on his way into Ace as well. But one day... I'll be there too! :D

infamy swings are normal in battle bay, i usually average average +/- 300 infamy... i drop 300, then i gain 300. just keep grinding and improving...

Thank you for the encouraging posts!
Through the whole period I've played the game I had infamy swings which is normal, but I never had such series of loses in the course of a whole week, no matter of what of the already working strategies I tried.
I already made a decision and I'm not going back.
I hope if I'm right on what I'm thinking and one day the large swings that you experience "miraculously" stop happening then you'll remember such threads, ... or not :)
