Keep the same # of infamy on losing matches

    Just me being salty for playing with dummies who try to capture the flag or be "the hero". At least the person in first should lose 12 instead of 24

    They do have it set up a little so that if you truly stood out and made an impact, you don't as much...i mean 1 infamy is better than none. I don't think that'll be implemented simple because this is designed to be a team game and not a one man show. Unless a mk5 drops down to >1000 infamy and starts wrecking people or someone who just starts out pays to get epic items...no one will win a match on their own.
    I guess what I'm trying to say is, do your best to help out your teammates who don't appear to know what they're doing and by you doing a good job backing them up, it'll help everyone win.

    Like I hate it when I lose infamy beause my team sucks or is afk

    I agree. I'm not saying it is perfect.
    But then again, this is becoming a problem post vs a solution post.
    Does anyone have a better idea on how to fix the problem?
    Besides losing half infamy...you'll still be matched up with people who may or may not know what they're doing.
    Hate to say it, but every team based game has this problem. You'll have to climb out of the lower infamy stages before this probably becomes less of an issue.

    I disagree @rlxgenerate most mobas might, most shooter do not. There are the outliers such as paladins and overwatch, but for the most part in shooters you rank up and get matched based off of your performance, win or lose. There are zero reasons why (in this game) if you have 3 kills and the highest damage in the match that you should lose infamy. I can understand only gaining based on the win, but if your stats are like that, you obviously did your part in helping your team and the breakdown in teamwork and loss were not on your shoulders.

    On the same token, i dont feel winning should automatically grant you infamy. If you did 120 damage and were the first person to sink in the match you got carried. You did nothing for your team. They had to work harder for the win. You're obviously not ready for higher infamy matchups. Wins and losses are not what make the player.

    Yeah, that'd probably stop higher infamy players from bringing in their "smaller" friends during a fleet. I'm not saying it's bad but when they have t1 weapons trying to take down a 2-3k hp defender, it's just not even a match.
    1) There needs to be a limit on the differences between infamy or level before being able to fleet up together...
    2) There needs to a change in the compensation of how well a person did in a match (outside of a star)...
    3) There needs to be a balance in weapons and ships when matchmaking...
    - I don't feel like a mk4 ship with t2 epics should be allowed to match up against mk2 ships w/ t1 weapons because they're infamy is lower than normal.

    A lot of issues that I hope get ironed out in the short coming weeks. They need to update this game every week to implement 1 problem at a time.

    you say its a team game ....well why the f@#$ do i get my infamy taken and i'm the last and highest scoring player on my team... i like the game but the stats don't tell the story correctly!!!

    Let me pose a question to you...

    (Assuming you watch American Football)

    Super Bowl LI - Atlanta Falcons vs New England Patriots

    Falcons are up 21 points half way through the 3rd Quarter. The Patriots come back to tie the game and win it in Overtime in dramatic fashion.

    Now...here's my question. Every single person on the Patriots team will get "paid" for the Super Bowl win and get a "ring" for winning. Even the 3rd string guys who didn't play a minute. -----Now, Tom Brady was truly the person who helped the Patriots win that game. Should he get "3 Rings" and "Triple the cash payout" because if it wasn't for him, they wouldn't have won?

    No. It's a team sport. Everyone is paid equally and everyone gets only 1 Super Bowl Ring.

    Now, I realize I just compared the super bowl to Battle Bay but I hope you all get my point. I don't necessarily agree with the way the reward system works and yes, if you're last alive, do the most damage, and possibly win and see that someone died first and did 120 damage get +24 infamy and 1 star...but that's what we have to work with.

    This is a team game. Team. Work together. Don't get frustrated. Get into another match and try again.

    Well, the better players do get bonuses and endorsements as well... So, yes they do get more rewards.

    Is the third string player's salary the same as Tom Brady's? Not even close. They're on the same team, but do, in fact, receive different "loot" based on what they bring to the game.

    They may all get the win, but Brady certainly gets more infamy. Lol
