Issues Evolving Rare items and randomness of received items

Hi, I started playing this game about a week ago. I really like it, now I am at level 18 and playing a mk 3 defender. I have been having annoying issues trying to evolving my main weapon, a lv.10 rare sniper. Since there is no way to buy the item again with gold. You can either collect it in chest or collecting item pieces. I have collected the 10 part rare piece card 4 times, that's 40 rare part piece and all you give me is a rare flare gun or napalm launcher. And I have collected 4 uncommon standard mortar from your chest and Calander, when I already have a tier 2 uncommon mortar. WTH? Judging by how mean and uneven your distribution system is I am not spending 400 pearls on the chest. Developers, please allow players to buy the parts(including the item again) if they need them for evolving items.

 

There are 19 different weapons, so the odds of a wanted item is just about 5%.

Long term you will find rare duplicates faster than you can unlock crew talents to evolve - Finding duplicate epics is a serious pain though, the game is designed to provide progress at a rate thats frustratingly slow (in order to stimulate $$$ spending).

Friendly advice - As things are atm you should only spend money if you are willing to budget 500$++, anything below that wont give you much benefit.

 

Not true. You can benefit by farming resources and using pearls to speed crew times. Or buying a few epic containers (not $500 worth but enough to get some duplicate rares and nice epics).

 

Shit I been playing months and still waiting for things. I just get tons of fixer stuff and I don't even F with the fixer .

 

Speeding up crew slightly sure - Buying any low amount of containers does nothing, you will find more rares than you need naturally & the amount of epics you need to surpass lvl 50 rares are incredibly unlikely to appear unless you spend in the magnitude I suggested (and that is a low estimate).

 

You can get some 2 or 3 rare dupes of the same weapons from buying maybe $100-200 in epic containers. Tier 3 rares is a nice start for players who havent played long.

 

At lvl 18 you aren't going to get many rare items except for lucky ones from free boxes (you have a good chance from weekly login / weekly 12 quest premium chest).
Once you are a bit higher you will have a higher gold pool and you should open your phone every time you get the "A new shipment has arrived!" notification on your phone. This way you can buy a rare item piece (you often won't get a duplicate, but the more rares you have, the higher % you'll get a duplicate of what you own).
I'd suggest if you buy pearls to spend them on expanding how much space you have to hold items. No point wasting money on training when you could just wait a few hours. It doesn't seem like it early on, but after a month or so of playing, you'll start running out of space (I have 3 slots left and have 55 or 60 slots available).

Also don't be scared to change it up. If you get duplicate rare mortars or napalm, start trying them out. Use what you got, not what you wish you had!!!

There is good use in speeding up your training time, higher crew level means your items are being buffed up and you can unlock higher tier levels (like tier 3 or 4 cannons or mortars etc.) And higher stats for your ships (hitpoints, speed, shield points etc.)

Crew training is one of the most important things to focus on. Speeding them up as you reach enough sugar for the next training can help you advance quickly.

 

Sorry but paying money for something that you are guaranteed to get for free if you wait (not even a long time) is just silly.
If you spend money, but item slots and/or premium access. That way you get 50% bonus rewards per game PLUS 20% less crew training time. Paying to speed up training any other way is a waste of money imho.

 

Anything you pay money for you can get free with time...

 

You are NOT guaranteed the item of your choice if you pay for a premium chest. You are also NOT guaranteed to get extra item slots if you wait with time. You ARE guaranteed for crew training you selected to finished and give you the talent.
These examples show why and where it is logical to spend money, and where it is not.

 

With time you will get every item in the game. With time you get pearls from shop crates and battles to open more spots.
Time is time just as money is money.

You get rares faster than you can level up crew (to unlock evolutions) - Spending might seem worthwhile, but spending for items requires a massive input as you need to break past epic t3 (which is much more expensive than one would imagine).

Spending to t3 rares might seem important, but in a month it will be obvious that doing so has no long term impact.

But yes, Ill grant you that leveling crew faster is useful (aslong as you can keep up with sugar).
