Hey everyone! Is using both big torp and swift torp good? Despite talent clash I see a number of people using it, and it's great to have the best of both worlds -- easier aiming for the swift torp and maniacal group damage for people huddling around. So what do you think, is this a good idea, or should players just stick with one?

I've seen @SmileSHARK533m and @Eeyore using it on their boats, both are rockstars maybe they can tell us the pros and cons :D

It depends on what ship. It is great on Shooter and Defender, but u should never use it on Fixer or Speeder. I guess it is ok on Enforcer too

Well, from personal experience, manipulating blind spots with the swift and changing aspect and hitting them hard with the big works like a charm... If your opponent's NOT an ultrapro

Wow I'm quite surprised so many people think it's good, but not many actually use it! Maybe I'll use it in the future. What would be the crew talents that you would select if/since you use both torps?

Depends on if you wanna be an assassin or a semi-duellist. If assassin, bigtorp all the way. If duellist, more focus on swift.

And the main reason I personally don't use it is the fact that it's clunky for a duellist.

If u r using shooter and defender then use both and go for damage training for BT and speed training for ST

But when it comes for speeder and fixer use BT only with suitable 1slot weapon
For enfo use ST and train all torp damage and Swift speed training
And go for cool down training as well

I'm an aspiring assassin... but clearly not too good at it. Sometimes there are just moments where you have to go distract someone or eliminate a flanker who is silently killing your fixer; and most of these nuisances are dodgy yellow ships. Another thing is that I play enforcer (although not as much as speeder.) It's really annoying that I have to use weaker weapons that I'm not too familiar with if I want to utilise the 3rd red slot.

Yup that's exactly my predicament... which should I favour, speeder or enforcer? That's why I created this thread; because I love using torps but it's not practical to use big torp on enforcer.

Anyway... since I don't have many duplicates for swift torp, or bolts to squander for this experiment I think I will just stay with big torp! (For now that is) Thanks for the tips guys :)

If the flanker is speeder and is killing ur fixer with "180 trick" then do not predict the enemy speeders movement try to aim at ur fixer, it will definitely work for almost 95% of times and for rest u need skills to deal with the flanker

For enforcers the big torp is pretty useless, for obvious reasons. The only times I've seen enfos running swifts is when they are running it as a reinforcement to their snipe flare, or double snipe, or blast flare.

If you are a torp lover, speeders are just awesome!
