Infamy in battles

    Winners in battle get approx 24 infamy each . Losers lose approx 24 infamy each . Instead of this , the 5 players who played the best get infamy and the others lose infamy.:rolleyes:

    All winners should gain infamy, thats a given, as its hard to judge contribution exactly.
    A speeder may distract a whole team for the entire match which was key to a victory even if he didnt land many shots, but the game would drop infamy as his contribution would show almost none.
    However I do think losers that get 2 stars should not drop infamy, and 1 stars should only lose 1 infamy (-1), so people who want to push infamy arent held back by floaters / kamikaze muppets.

    I totally agree with this. However, I don't know how infamy is currently calculated. Does a person who got 2 or even 3 stars drop infamy? That is bull if the player does.

    Contribution is not calculated into the infamy at all.
    Everyone on the winning team gains the same infamy, everyone on the losing team loses the same infamy.
    So someone can bust their guts and do 90% of the damage, but loses the same infamy as the floater on their team.
    This is what I disagree with.

    Here's my simple solution: all winners would be given 24 infamy, losers lose 24 infamy, as it is already. Then, a player who gains stars in that battle would gain some infamy per star, regardless of winner or loser. I would say maybe 12 infamy per star, so a loser who gained two stars would neither lose nor gain infamy for that battle, or with three stars, that player would gain 12 infamy. Also, perhaps, less infamy per star for the winning players, as 24+36 total infamy is 60 infamy, a lot for one battle. So for winners, perhaps 6 infamy per star. Or while it seems like a lot, a winning player with three stars maybe deserves 60 infamy. Infamy points could also be added or subtracted for each "battle achievement," like "I love torpedoes," "nice shot," or "triple kill," but this would be a separate idea, and would require some more adjustments to balance it all out.

    Infamy should be weighted by individual performance with the winning team being rewarded and losers docked on a curve, like so:

    If that's the case the why is it every 2-3 month I hit a losing streak that drops me 1500-2000 infamy and then I'm getting suspended for what they say is intentionally losing. But when you look at my battle log it shows that's I'm almost always the last to die and having the most damage. Can you explain this.

    The way @Mikka explained it is different: Matchmaking doesn't take into account losing streaks until the 10 players are put in a battle. At that point it distributes players so that all the players on losing streaks aren't on the same side.

    That being said, it feels like I am always matched with bums. Usually 2 of my 4 teammates can't even deal out their infamy number in damage... every... single... match... (offensive boats). Exactly how they got to that infamy is lost on me, and I constantly ask myself why I keep playing this game as it's like banging my head against a brick wall as matchmaking is playing against my skills. That's the long way of saying, what you say actually feels more accurate than what Mikka said.

    BasedCarpen's idea would be an improvement of the current system, I think, but I still like my idea better. My idea helps to ensure that someone busting their but and doing really well doesn't lose infamy regardless of who they are paired with.
