    Hello Everyone,

Some months ago I already made a thread about this topic. But now I have spokdn to several people in the game chat, who liked the idea. Some say, but it is a team game, so it would be right to award you as a team. But that would only be fair if we had fixed teams and as we don't and have people in battles who float, don't care or not being able to hit anything, I still think it would be could to have an individual score awarded. Now you could have played your utmost best battle and because the others don't, you lose 24 Infamy.

Maybe 70% for personal effort and 30% as a team.

    Just an idea.

    Regards,
    Flint

Event rewards are already based on personal performance, and everyone complains about how bias it is. CTF favours Speeders, TDM favours Shooters. And whatever gets played, Fixers come last.

This idea had been suggested about a thousand times, but no one ever suggests a way to make it fair. No one ever explains how it is supposed to work, so that it won’t massively bias one ship type over another.

Frankly, there ‘probably’ isn’t a practical solution to making it fair, which is why this is always a dead end.

I think what he is saying is you would get more or less infamy depending on how you compare to your own stats.
Say for example after getting a baseline damage (all of your battles until captain level 10) you would gain infamy for doing x amount of damage over your average or lose infamy for doing x amount below. This would happen on an individual basis so you're team wouldn't factor into your results eliminating any bias.

Then what you do is match teams based on hp and average damage so statistically it would be a fair fight (all Ally damage = all enemy hp, for both sides).
Then the end result comes down to who was able to reach or exceed their average damage and those players are awarded infamy accordingly.
Doing this would make infamy a better measure of players skill rather than a reflection of their teams. As a result matchmaking would balance and players wouldn't be held back by getting matched with underskilled teammates or over skilled opponents.

I think that is a good idea!

The battle below is an example how frustrating it can be, doing the most damage of all 10 players, but still lose 24 Infamy. Get punished for doing a good job.

Doing the most damage of all players and then still lose 24 Infamy is just not right and it is demotivating players, who give up way too easily because of it.

Now I have the weakest ship and had the weakest team if you compare ship levels and gear. So, that should not be punished with a 23 or 24 loss.

Damage is not only rule which shows who is doing what in battle. Sometime speeder can lure attention and shooting of everyone and you get clear way to aim/destroy them. But I agree that there should be some minimum what you should do in game, some average expectation. Which will be higher for shooter, lower for speeder and different one for healer. And if you are to much below this expectation you should lose or gain different infamy compare to someone who is much more above that expected damage/healing.
Some math could be done here and there is definitely space to improve it.

How many times a day do we have to lose because players do not work together?

Team score sucks! Only a fixed team can receive team score, not random., at leadt not 100%.
