ideas for balancing mines/torpedoes?

    I had an idea for a balance change to mines/torpedoes which would be to give you a limited number of shots when you're using a mine or torpedo (or both if you're satan himself) while also simultaneously increasing the damage that both mines and torps do. in turn, this would probably A: raise the skill ceiling required to use mines and torps besides "oh I'll just shoot everywhere this'll hit someone" and you'll have to be careful about aiming torps and your placement of mines, which involves strategy, and B: make mines and torps a hell of a lot less spammy. I get it, it works, but it's just so unfair like you think I'm gonna look out for a torp or mine when I'm being confronted by the entire enemy team.
    that's just my idea though, and feel free to post your thoughts on this tread.

    Limit the shots PLEASE!! Tired of people spamming mines. Torps is fine ( sorta) but mines really piss me off. People need to git gud.

    I don't love mines, mainly because they require a different kind of skill to use. I think reducing their damage/duration or providing some sort of stun/negate mechanism would be great. I'd love to be able to shoot mines and remove them.

    Torps are fine. They are not OP at all and are difficult to use.

    I do not know at what levels you play. My notoriety is about 3000 and here there are very few people who use mines! Indeed for me the mine is strong but should be made even more lethal by introducing a stunning of 2-3 seconds when the total damage takes more than 40% of the life of the ship! Instead I do not think that the mine should be weakened.
    The fact of removing their mines or those opposing us would be a bang, but you should make a special yellow weapon! Otherwise the mine becomes too poor.

    yeah you don't even need to limit the number of mines that you can fire if they just give us the ability to shoot them to remove them that'd be such a good thing to introduce

    It's very soothing to see a mine kill:D and the big torp splash and seeing all 3 4 health bars halved.

    I like this idea, obviously it must include mortars too yes? as they are being spammed lots, oh wait we had this topic already :p

    There is a lot of spamming going on lately so please just don't single out 1 or 2 weapons is my point

    I would like them to add a Crit hit for mines and torpedoes! That'll make things interesting. Why does all the other weapons have a Crit except mines, Rail Gun and Torpedoes?

    No no... fire perk for torps, mine spammers and the railgun stun perk are enough for me!

    Torpedos are fine, in fact tritorp needs a buff.

    Mines need a nerf, they explode even when you don't touch them. They do a ton of damage for a one slot item

    Hey,
    You can't compare a Crit to a perk! Other weapons have both, I think Torps, Mines, Rail Gun should get the Crit hit too.
    Rail Gun especially because a Epic sniper cannon at tier 5 lv50 witha crit hit deals way more damage than a Rail Gun! Same for EC!
